One Nuclear Policy for all Nuclear Assets of the Group (since 2011) Overall Commitments Duties as owner shareholder Ensure that nuclear facilities adopt a clear nuclear safety policy and are operated with overriding priority to nuclear safety, the protection of nuclear workers, the general public and the environment from risk of harm Encourage excellence in all plant activities and to go beyond compliance with applicable laws and regulations and to adopt management approaches embodying the principles of Continuous Improvement and Risk Management Promote a cooperation policy on safety in the nuclear industry worldwide Provide sufficient resources to implement the safety policy Ensure that even the relevant nuclear organizations where Enel has a minority participation have adopted and published suitable policies for nuclear and environmental safety, radioactive waste management and the physical security of nuclear assets 7

8 Nuclear Oversight (NOS) in Slovenske elektrarne In line with WANO PO&Cs and INPO & WANO PL for Strong Governance and Oversight: Both line management monitoring and independent oversight are used to strengthen safety and improve performance. Nuclear safety is continuously monitored by line managers and independent oversight groups through techniques such as self assessments, plant tours and observations, performance indicators and periodic management meetings to review station performance. 8

10 Nuclear Oversight An independent off-line function consists of: 1. Nuclear Oversight (internal unit) 2. NSAC - Nuclear Safety Advisory Committee (international part of NOS) 3. International Safety Reviews (WANO, OSART) (four year programme for each site + Corporate review) The IAEA OSART in 2010 : NOS in SE as a good practice 10
