Where our Wter Origintes ette Rive r The Clckms River begins on the slopes of Olllie Butte, High Cscde Will m volcno. The river flows 82.7 miles from its hedwters (elevtion 6,000 ft) to its confluence with the Willmette River ner Gldstone nd Oregon City (elevtion 12 ft). The wtershed is mde up of 16 sub wtersheds nd drins more thn 940 sq miles. More thn hlf of its length it runs through forested res over rugged terrin. The lower reches flow through griculturl nd densely populted res. The wtershed crosses two counties nd includes federl lnd dministered by the US Forest Service nd BLM, stte lnd, nd privte lnd. Wter is tken out of the river nd treted for humn consumption. Once wter is treted it moves through complex system of pipes, vlves, nd pumps to storge tnks or reservoirs. There it is stored until it is needed by homes nd businesses in our communities.

How much wter does your toilet use? To clculte how much wter your toilet uses with ech flush, you need to clculte the volume of wter in the tnk - or bck of the toilet. Mesuring volume is simple clcultion of the length x width x height of n object. With toilet you will need to mesure the height of wter in the tnk becuse not ll tnks will completely empty of wter when flushed. To mesure the volume of your toilet follow these steps: 1. Remove the toilet tnk lid nd mesure the internl length nd width of the tnk. 2. Mesure the height of the wter in the tnk. Flush the toilet nd mesure the height of the wter tht remins in the tnk before it refills (not ll tnks will completely empty of wter). Subtrct the post-flush depth from the pre-flush depth to clculte the ctul depth of the flush. 3. Plce the numbers you mesured in the formul boxes below nd complete the clcultion to determine the flush volume of your toilet.
