11 Q10 What do you think is the greatest challenge facing the world today? Answ ered: 22 Skipped: 5 # Responses Date 1 global warming 1/29/2014 8:35 AM 2 crushing student debt 1/28/2014 9:48 PM 3 Sustainability for energy resources is probably the biggest challenge today. We need to find alternative fuel sources. 4 I think the greatest challenge facing the world today is our dependence on nonrenewable resources such as oil and what is going to happen when we run out. Energy is needed in such great quantities and a sustainable source of energy that is safe and efficient needs to created/discovered to brighten our future. 5 Striving to improve ourselves in the long term with a step by step mentality while accepting large leaps of innovation when applicable. 6 Most problems are very strongly interwoven, so isolating one problem and attempting to solve it would be very difficult. However, the problem that I find the most pressing is the water crisis in the developing world. Without access to clean water, an incredibly large fraction of the human population suffers in very graphic and intolerable ways. 7 Finding renewable, preferably clean, energy. We're depleting our resources so quickly, and we haven't yet developed a strong replacement for our dependance on fossil fuels that can supply the world. 1/27/2014 8:46 PM 1/27/2014 6:02 PM 1/27/2014 4:48 PM 1/27/2014 2:50 PM 1/27/ :18 AM 8 Individualism 1/27/ :28 AM 9 affording education, at any level 1/26/ :50 PM 10 The greatest challenge facing the world today is narcissism. We are living in a generation where we feel the need to post everything about ourselves on public media and we dilute ourselves into thinking that people care so much about us. A lot of physical challenges in the world stems from self-absorption. 1/26/2014 7:46 PM 11 I think world hunger is the greatest challenge. 1/26/2014 7:38 PM 12 The greatest challenge our world faces today is to debate and make well-thoughout decisions as a society that will make the world a better place, regardless of any social stereotype or political affiliation. 1/26/2014 6:38 PM 13 Income inequality 1/26/2014 6:00 PM 14 Transition to renewable energy. 1/25/2014 1:58 PM 15 Lack of access to vaccinations 1/25/2014 1:04 PM 16 Put what you have learnt into the real world 1/25/2014 1:00 PM 17 Short-sightedness 1/25/ :28 AM 18 An inflation in a number of people with engineering degrees. I believe there should be people with both engineering and A&S degree. 1/25/2014 6:21 AM 19 Adversity we face in interpersonal relationships. 1/24/2014 8:26 PM 20 Unsustainable consumption and living patterns that continue to degrade our planet. 1/24/2014 5:21 PM 21 income inequality 1/24/2014 4:47 PM 22 Maintaining food and water security as populations continue to increase. 1/24/2014 3:32 PM 11 / 11
