3 LUMN Range Building on their technological advantage, Aqualuma started developing their commercial and industrial lighting range, The LUMN Range. After more than 12 months development, the Lumn Range was introduced in January The high bay and low bay lights are independently tested to be the most energy efficient in the world. Designed and built in Australia to the same standards as their marine lighting range, Aqualuma guarantees a long maintenance-free life span. ECO Range With the demand of our Lumn Range exceeding our expectations we have partnered with a Taiwan Lighting manufacturer to produce our Eco Range. This range is built overseas to our exact specifications and is constantly checked for quality and correct components. By doing this we are able to offer our customers a large range of commercial and industrial lighting, all backed by Aqualuma LED Lighting Australia. By harnessing the latest LED technology, it is now possible to manufacture industrial and commercial light fixtures that save money in both power consumption and maintenance costs. However, it is apparent that traditional lighting manufacturers and new start companies have not always been able to unlock the full potential offered by LED technology. Light fixtures currently available often leave a lot to be desired in terms of efficacy (the amount of light emitted for the power consumed) and reliability. Lightsource-R The Lightsource-R housing is die cast from marine grade, copper free aluminum and then powder coated. All of the components and materials used have been carefully chosen by our engineers to be the best and longest lasting in the industry. In 5-7 years, with an upgrade into your existing Lightsource-R housing, you will be able to expect the same light output with an additional 40% energy saving. Environment Lowering the carbon footprint of your facility by reducing power consumption up to 80% through efficient LED lighting will save you money and help clean the planet for future generations. 4 LIGHTSOURCE-R The Lightsource-R represents state-of-the-art LED lighting. Using the most advanced optical, mechanical and thermal simulation software, every aspect of the design has been optimized for performance and reliability. Mechanical Design The Lightsource-R is manufactured to the highest standards. The housing is die cast using marine grade aluminum, it is treated with a corrosion protection and then finished with a protective epoxy powder coat. Aqualuma uses only the best and longest lasting materials available in the industry. Thermal Management Thermal management is of paramount importance in the design of LED fittings. The performance of LEDs, both in terms of output and reliability, will decline with increased LED temperature. High fixture temperatures will reduce the life expectancy of the power supply and electronics used to control the drive current supplied to the LEDs. Computation fluid dynamic (CFD) software has been used to simulate the cooling effect and airflow over the housing thus maximizing the LED and fixture life. The Lightsource-R s unique shape is the result of hundreds of hours of development in the simulator, backed up with laboratory testing of physical prototypes Optical Design The optical efficiency of a light fixture is the measure of how much light is extracted, rather than being absorbed by the fitting itself. Optical simulation software has been used to achieve an optical efficiency (LOR) of 94%. This unprecedented achievement contributes to the fitting s overall efficiency. Visual Acuity Metal halide and fluorescent fixtures have a peaky spectral distribution which results in some colours being illuminated more brightly than others. 5 Flicker The Aqualuma high bay fitting has been independently tested and certified to have no flicker detectable to the human eye. Fluorescent tube and metal halide flicker has been associated with headaches, migraines, eye strain and general discomfort. Environment The Aqualuma high bay is environmentally friendly when compared to alternate solutions. For example, fluorescent tubes contain mercury, a highly toxic metal. The US Environmental Protection Agency has issued guidelines for the clean-up of broken fluorescent tubes which include turning off air conditioning systems and building evacuation. Power Saving Replacing a 400W to 1000W metal halide high bay with an Aqualuma LED high bay can reduce power consumption by up to 80%. For all installations we can conduct an energy survey and design a custom lighting plan to optimize your energy usage. Reliability The Aqualuma high bay LED light fixtures use LEDs purchased from CREE and LUXEON - the world s most reputable LED manufacturers. These manufacturers undertake extensive LED lifetime testing to LM-80 industry standards. Allowing for the aging of all the lamp components, we calculate a lumen maintenance L70 of over 100,000 hours for the fixture. 21 LUMN RANGE WARRANTY TERMS OF WARRANTY: The LUMN lighting warranty covers the Lumn range of products for 5 years to maintain L70 lumen output. The fixtures will be free of defects in workmanship and materials for a duty cycle of 24 hour 7 day operation. This warranty also covers fixtures and drivers. WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: Improper maintenance, misuse, neglect, improper installation or natural disasters such as flood, fire, lightning, unauthorized repairs or modifications, removal or replacement of the product. WARRANTY COVERS: At its discretion, Aqualuma may replace any product or part free of charge upon return of the defective item for the term of the warranty.
