1 Engineer to Leader Modules: Bring Out the Best, A Leadership Training Program for Managers and Supervisors PROGRAM OBJECTIVES This highly interactive and participative leadership workshop is designed to take participants to the next level of systematic and practical management development focusing on essential skills: Managing the Job and Leading People. The presentations, discussions and structured learning exercises will sharpen initial skills that leaders use on the job to prepare them for more responsible leadership in any organization. At the end of the 8-hour BRING OUT THE BEST Leadership Program, the participants will: Articulate the roles and functions of supervisors and managers in terms of relationships with subordinates, upper management and external clients. Practice their leadership skills, i.e. planning, organizing, controlling, goal setting, ongoing feedback, behavior adapting, coaching and communication. Sharpen skills in creating setting SMARTER objectives. Apply a systematic process for successfully managing subordinates performance improvement, personal development and career growth. Use effective motivation techniques for different subordinates. Direct their own as well as their subordinate s people management skills to the achievement of their company s vision and mission. Create practical action plans in order to bring out the best in each of their subordinates. 1
2 METHODOLOGY The BRING OUT THE BEST Leadership Program for Managers and Supervisors is highly responsive to the specific requirements and needs of the supervisors and managers. Specific action plans are required at the end of every session that would serve as learning monitoring and evaluation systems. This also ensures that learning is responsive to the needs of the organization. If necessary, profiles, assessment instruments are used to ensure personalized learning and progress. The instruction methodologies utilize structured learning exercises and experiential learning activities for stimulating and inspiring interactions. Medium of instruction is English and Tagalog.
