6 Program Timeline November 2017: Executive Committee selection March - April 2018: Training and matching of new Board Fellows; board work begins Nov Feb 2018: Recruitment and selection of Board Fellows Sept 2018 May 2019: Monthly pod meetings; continued board work; ongoing training & support 6
7 Commitment 14-month commitment (February 2018 graduation) Time commitment 1 st year: hours total 2 nd year: hours/month Expectations for Fellows 1) Participate positively with partner board and organization as a visiting board member; 2) Contribute actively to the board fellows community as a board fellow; 3) Engage purposefully in personal development. 7

11 Nonprofit Placement The Leadership Program works to develop and maintain partnerships with ~60 participating nonprofit organizations Boards range in areas of focus, lifecycle stage, and size Placements are based on students interests in the missions of the nonprofit organizations Students are asked to select 8 potential organizations Based on interest in mission + ability to contribute We do our best to match people to their preferences but cannot guarantee that you will get your first choice. 11
