Our products are used by mine sites, councils, Defence Forces, trades and home handy persons. We are located in Lonsdale SA with approximately 50 employees in total. We are seeking employees who are reliable, hardworking and innovative who will be committed to providing an excellent service to our customers. 4 Mumme Tools Pty Ltd Position Descriptions C12 Manufacturing Employee Level III Mumme Tools Pty Ltd Position Description Issued: _29_/_09_/2014 Replaces: _16_/_11_/2011 Position: C12 Manufacturing Employee Level III Classification: Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2010 Reporting Requirements: Supervisor Purpose: To take a piece of raw material and perform the necessary processes to bring it to a finished tool ready for painting. The employee is responsible for assembling components into finished products i.e fitting handles to hammer, shovel and rake heads and pin punch pins to bodies etc. Ensure product is painted to the highest standard and is ready to be sent onto the warehouse area for final completion. Whilst working in the paint booth the employee is responsible for running and maintaining the spray booth and all equipment associated. Employees must ensure that a highly presentable product leaves Mumme Tools Pty Ltd and arrives to the customer in a good condition. The Employee will move between the Paint Booth, Production area, Warehouse and Assembly area from time to time depending on operational requirements and staff availability. Duties: - Identify readiness for painting - Identify and remove rejects - Mixing paints - Wet spray painting - Equipment checks - Cleaning and maintenance of spray booth and equipment - Grinding - Cutting - Rumbling - Heat Treating - Forging - Basic Welding - Identify readiness for labelling. 5 - Identify and remove rejects. - Labelling. - Pre-packing/boxing/bagging. - Sledge Hammer Assembly - Shovel Assembly - Rake Assembly - Punch Assembly - Using power tools - Using presses - Labelling and Packing - Using linishers - Gluing - This is not an exhaustive list of duties Principal Responsibilities: - Work within and adhere to Mumme Tools policies and procedures. - Work and conduct themselves in a safe manner at all times adhering to OH&S regulations. - Work within and adhere to Mumme Tools standards. - Is responsible for the quality of his/her own work subject to routine supervision. - Works under routine supervision either individually or in a team environment. - Exercises discretions within his/her level or skills and training. - Operates flexibly between stations. - Operates machinery and equipment requiring the exercise of skill and knowledge beyond that of an employee at C13 - Lubrication of production machinery equipment - Adjusts jigs and stops - Ability to set up own area. - Non-trade engineering skills - Basic tracing and sketching skills - Receiving, despatching, distributing, sorting, checking packing (other than repetitive packing in a standard container or containers in which such goods are ordinarily sold) documenting and recording of goods, materials and components. - Spray Painting - Basic inventory control in the context of production process - Basic keyboard skills - Ability to measure accurately - Assists one or more tradespersons. - Assists in the provision of on the job training in conjunction with tradespersons and supervisors/trainers. 6 Health and Safety: Division 4 Duty of officers, workers and other persons 28 Duties of workers While at work, a worker must (a) take reasonable care for his or her own health and safety; and (b) take reasonable care that his or her acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of other persons; and (c) comply, so far as the worker is reasonably able, with any reasonable instruction that is given by the person conducting the business or undertaking to allow the person to comply with the current Work Health & Safety Act (SA) ; and (d) co-operate with any reasonable policy or procedure of the person conducting the business or undertaking relating to health or safety at the workplace that has been notified to workers. - It is the responsibility of the C12 - Manufacturing Employee Level III Employee to work in a safe manner at all times. - The C12 - Manufacturing Employee Level III Employee will undertake their duties and responsibilities in full accordance with Mumme Tools Pty Ltd s Policies and Procedures. Development and Learning: - The C12 - Manufacturing Employee Level III Employee will be willing to further enhance their own personnel development and will attend training courses and learning events as necessary. Education and Training: - Basic English and Maths. - Forklift licence is desirable but not essential. Experience/Knowledge and Qualifications: - Engineering Production Certificate I or II or equivalent training so as to enable them to perform work within the scope of this level. Key Capabilities / Skills: - Ability to work within a team as well as using one s own initiative. Physical Requirements of the position: - Clean Shaven when working in paint booth. (facial hair can interfere with personal protective equipment) - General Level of Fitness - Repetitive hand, wrist and arm use. - Repetitive above shoulder work.
