2 01. construction of the wuc visual identity a evolution of the WUC visual identity Due to the evolution of the International University Sports 5-stars Brand logotype and use of the new font (Proxima Nova instead of Trade Gothic) we decided to make some changes in the WUC logotypes. It has also been decided to drop the numbering and replace it by "". At last, corners of the the box (and other materials) are now rounded. B ORGANISING COMMITTEE DEDICATED EVENT LOGOTYPE The event logotype must use the "U" and it should never use thee stars which are reserved exclusively for the International University Sports Federation 5-stars Brand Logotype. Here are a few examples of the integration of the «U» into event logotypes. This integration can be subtle. Color choices for the logotype is free even if the choice of one (or more) official color is encouraged (to avoid having more than the five official colors). You can find the complete official colors chart in chapter «D» of this document. p.2

3 C dedicated color chart The Five Stars Logotype is made of five PANTONE Colors : PANTONE PROCESS BLUE PANTONE 130 C PANTONE PROCESS BLACK PANTONE 355C PANTONE 485C Æ It is required to use these colors on a 100% basis. Do not use another percentage of opacity or another color percentage. Also respect these colors on all CMYK/RGB/HEX/RAL and AVERY use. d complete color chart & conversion mode Æ The Five Stars logotype can be converted into a printable/seeable color mix. These values are a visual interpretation and NOT the exact conversion. We require to avoid automatic conversion as in use on softwares or websites and use the correct values hereunder! 4 E basic principles Æ The visual identity of the event is composed of five elements. EVENT LOGOTYPE Æ This logotype is the WUC OC own visual event logotype. It must use the "U" and it should never use the stars which are reserved exclusively for the «5-stars» brand logotype. sport's name and year city and country championship's official denomination american football 2016 Monterrey Mexico World University "5-stars" brand (international university sport) logotype Æ The written elements of the WUC Visual Identity ( Sport name / City / Country / 's Official Denomination) are in English. Æ The Color of the Sport name / Year / City / Country must be chosen between the 5 Official colors (see point "D") p.4

5 f two different models - construction According to the lenght of the sport name we have developped two different grids. It is necessary to determine (depending on the length of Event Name) which one is pertinent and refer to the appropriate dimensions. Æ MODEL 1 - SPORT & YEAR ON 2 LINES / CITY & COUNTRY ON 2 LINES Example based on a 48 x 100mm canvas/proportions. This canvas and all elements inside must be proportionnally rescaled to fit requested use. 48 mm keep 5 mm (inner margins) up/left/right <----- Frame Border 0,5 pt Rounded corners 4 mm ----> All font sizes hereunder are based on the 48x100 mm canvas 35 Event Name & Year must be centered in a "content box" between the bottom of the logo and the top of the black (city / country) box. 9 03. stationary A basic principles The signage system is transposed to a lighter version on the stationary. All elements remain in the same order. B letterhead Here is the model of A4 letterhead. Please note that address of the WUC OC is placed in the bottom of the page. Font used for the address is Proxima Nova light centered. Please respect left and right 15 mm margins. Example (on the right) based on a A4 210 x 297 mm canvas. 10 03. stationary C Envelopes & cards Envelopes and cards are constructed the same way as the letterheads. All elements remain in the same order. Proportions have just to be scaled to fit the size of these mediums. 11 04. uniform guidelines A introduction The below outlines the basic rules and regulations for the uniforms of the Organising Committee staff, volunteers as well as all promotional clothes produced in the context of the event. The objective of the Uniform Guidelines is to assist you in using the Marks ( Emblem and Dynamic Five Stars ) and other logos on the clothes which will be produced in the frame of your event. In the present document, polo shirts are used for illustrative purposes. The rules apply to all items of clothing (ie: jacket, t-shirt, blazer, pants, shorts, blazer, hats). Be sure to take into account and respect the proportions shown in the illustrative examples. All designs and templates shall be approved by the WUC Department before being produced. b use of marks Organising Committees are entitled to use the Emblem and the Dynamic Five Stars on all uniforms. The marks must be placed in a clean space free of other branding (ie: right or left sleeve of shirts and jackets). The marks are copyrighted and it shall be used in compliance with the rules governing its use. c Sponsorship understands that funding for many of the Organising Committees comes from local sponsorship deals. It is important that sponsorships are exclusively in support of the Organisers and do not include rights to associate directly with. It is kindly requested that you inform of any final sponsor agreements. We would like to celebrate these wins and are looking at developing case studies and learning tools for future. Your support and input into this process is appreciated. Please note that no sponsor is allowed on the clothes produced to be sold. p.11

14 F areas & proportions Protected Area: No element other than the official logos may be positioned within this area. Clean Margins: The logos may not touch the right or left seam of the polo shirt. If the polo shirt has a placket opening, a space shall be kept clean in the centre, between the event logo and the Dynamic Five Stars.
