How to guide for Consignors The first step is to register for the sale to receive a consignor number and password. The consignor number you receive is a lifetime number. Next season you will be able to register as a returning consignor with the same consignor number and password. REGISTER: Go to and click on the locations tab. Once you have selected the location you wish to sell at click on the "become a consignor" button on the right. Complete the information requested (address, , phone ). Click submit and you will be assigned a consignor number. Close this window, return to the Munchkin Markets website and click on Consignor Login at the top right to begin entering your items.

Please be sure to review the important dates and times on webpage for each location. The inventory system will shut off a few days prior to the sale, so please plan accordingly. Entering your items: 1. Log in to your account using your consignor number and password.

Once logged in, you will be brought to your own consignor homepage. On the consignor home page, click on the drop down list Activities Menu and select "work with consigned inventory" 2. On the Consignor Item Entry page, click on Work with my consigned items (active inventory)

3. Enter the following information (items in bold are required): a. Category: select from the drop down list b. Size: select from the drop down list c. Description line 1: Enter a description of the item, for example pink shirt w/ flowers d. Description line 2: Enter more of a description, for example Gymboree tulip line. Although 2 lines of a description are not required, keep in mind that should the tag come free, a more complete description will help volunteers match the item with the correct tag or look up an item should a customer want to purchase an item missing a tag. e. Quantity: If you are selling multiple items that have the same description, category, size and price, you can make multiple tags by using the quality option. For example if you are selling 5 pairs of girls Levis jeans size 3T, you can enter the information 1 time and select quantity 5. This will create 5 tags, one for each pair of jeans. If the price, description, size or category is different, you should use quantity 1 and enter each item separately. f. Check or uncheck the discount box: If you would like the item to be sold at ½ price during the discount sale, check the discount box. Leave the box unchecked if you do not want the item to be discounted. g. Check or uncheck the donate box: If you would like the item to be donated following the sale, check the donate box. Leave the box unchecked if you will be picking the item up following the sale to be transferred to the Munchkin Markets sale or to take home.

4. Click the Submit Item button. **Time saving tip The drop down lists for category and size will remain the last entry as will the discount and donate options. If you sort your items first, you will not need to change these lists between entering items. For example, if you enter all girls 3T clothing at once, you will only need to enter the description and price for each item. Printing your tags: You have the option to print all your tags at once or print tags in bunches. The tags will print 6 to a page. In order to print, you must have already entered inventory. 1. All tags need to be printed on WHITE cardstock. 2. Log in to your consignor account. 3. On the consignor homepage from the Activities Menu, click Work with Consigned Inventory 4. To print ALL entered tags, click Print all tags from the Consignor Item Entry page. a. The tags should appear in a new window. If they do not, you likely need to disable pop-up blockers. a. A box will appear near the top of your screen indicating that a pop-up has been prevented. Right click on the box and select temporarily allow pop-ups. b. You can also hold down the CTRL key while clicking on the Print all tags button to disable pop-ups.

b. A new window will appear, displaying your tags. Select File-Print to print the tags. 5. To print specific tags, click on the Print Selected Tags on the Consignor Item Entry home page: a. If you have already printed some of your price tags and want to print all of the rest, click on Print All Unprinted Tags b. The tags should appear in a new window. If they do not, you likely need to disable pop-up blockers. i. A box will appear near the top of your screen indicating that a pop-up has been prevented. Right click on the box and select temporarily allow pop-ups. ii. You can also hold down the CTRL key while clicking on the Print all tags button to disable pop-ups. c. A new window will appear, displaying your tags. Select File-Print to print the tags. 6. If you need to print your tags at a location that does not have internet access, you can save the tags in a file on a flash drive where you have an internet connection for printing later. a. Select to print all tags or select tags as per above. b. When the new screen of tags opens, Select File-Save As. Select a file name and location on your flash drive for saving. **Time saving tip Tags will print in the order items are entered. If you keep yours items in order after entering them, you can work backwards through your pile to attach the tags.

Item Preparation Please read this page very carefully prior to preparing your items. We will not accept or sell items that are not properly prepared or tagged. For the safety of all shoppers and their little ones, please check recall lists prior to bringing your items to the sale. Materials you will need: PLASTIC Hangers Safety Pins Ziploc Bags Clear Packing Tape Access to a computer and printer WHITE Cardstock Hanging Items: Place clothing on hangers with the hook turned left (see diagram below) Pants, shorts & skirts should be secured on hangers using safety pins (NO STRAIGHT PINS, STAPLES, TAPE!) If it comes off the hanger, add more safety pins! Items do not sell if they have fallen under the racks or if they lose their tag. When in doubt use more PINS. 2 piece outfits: first, put the shirt on the hanger and pin the bottoms to the shirt at the shoulders. INCLUDE the hanger in the pin so the weight of the bottoms do not pull down on the shirt. Make sure clothing is clean and pressed if necessary. Onesies, sleepers, and socks/tights can be placed in Ziploc baggies. Be sure to tape the bag shut.

Pricing Items: A general rule for pricing your item is to figure 25-40% of what you originally paid. The condition of the item will raise or lower that figure. The minimum price is $1.00 and can be increased in 50 cent increments. Check the discount box when entering your items to have the item go ½ price during the discount sale. Generally items that are not marked to be discounted do not sell during the discount sale. HAND WRITTEN CHANGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED! If you make a mistake, change it in the system and re-print the tag. Pricing Guide You know what you paid for it and what you want for it, so you set your own price. You can use the chart below as a very general guideline, but pricing depends a lot on the brand and condition. Baby equipment and toys tend to sell best. There is always an abundance of clothing items to pick from in the Newborn 2T sizes. Make sure you price to sell! Shirts Pants Children s Clothing Skirts Dresses $2-$5 $3-$8 $2-$6 $4-$10 Jumpers Sundresses Swimsuits Coats $3-$10 $3-$7 $3-$4 $5-$20 Overalls Sweatpants Jackets Shorts $5-$8 $2-$4 $3-$20 $2-$5 Dancewear Pajamas Costumes Holiday Wear $3-$8 $2-$5 $4-$12 $5-$15

Baby Items and Equipment High Chairs $15-$55 Pack n Play $15-$45 Swings $10-$50 Diaper Pail $2-$8 Exersaucers $10-$35 Walkers $5-$15 Activity Centers $5-$20 Bouncy Seats $5-$20 Umbrella Stroller Single Stroller $10-$80 $5-$15 Double Stroller Jogging Stroller Crib/Dresser Breast Pump Changing Table $25-$100 $25-$100 $50-$300 $15-$30 $20-$80 Mobile $4-$15 Bassinette $15-$50 Bedding Sets $10-$50 Boppy Pillow $5-$15 Infant Carrier or Sling $7-$50 Safety Gates $5-$30 Bed Rails $5-$20 Monitors $8-$15 Bath Tubs $4-$10 Table Booster Seat $5-$15 Potty Seats $4-$10 Bike $5-$30 Wagon $10-$45 Backpack Carriers Bumbo seats $10-$20 $10-$40 This chart is to be used as a guideline only. Munchkin Markets, LLC makes no guarantee your items will sell at the prices listed. Tagging Items: Use ONLY white cardstock to print your tags. Use a safety pin to attach the tag on the upper right side of the garment (as you are looking at the item) If you have one, you can use a tagging gun. However, please be aware that tags attached with tagging guns rip off more easily. Of the lost tags at the Fall 2011 sales, over 90% were tags attached with tagging guns.

Make sure your tags are secure. Placing a piece of packaging tape over the safety pin works great. Please understand we can t sell an item if it has lost the tag. It is also difficult to find the item's owner without a tag. Preparing Shoes: SHOES MUST BE SUPER CLEAN! We will be EXTREMELY picky about shoes, please bring only your best. Infant crib shoes can be placed in zip-loc bags with tag taped inside bag and the bag taped shut. For larger size shoes (Toddler size 4 and above): tie laces together and place a safety pin thru them to secure tightly. On shoes without laces use zip ties or string keep them together. Do not tape shoes together. If you have the original shoe box and wish to include it, make sure the tag is on the shoes NOT the box as they can easily become separated. Preparing Toys, Puzzles, Books, Videos, Large Equipment & Furniture: Use clear packaging tape to attach the tag to the item. Make sure the item is super clean and if it is battery operated, that it has working batteries. Toys having loose pieces should be placed in a zip-loc bag then attached to the item as securely as possible. (Remember we DO allow children at the sale, so make you re your items are secure enough that curious toddlers can t get them off) We are not responsible for lost or damaged pieces. Books can be bundled and placed in large ziploc baggies with the top taped shut. Board puzzles can be put together and secured with a couple layers of saran wrap and packaging tape. Please tape boxed puzzles shut.

Dropping off your items Log in to your consignor account. From your consignor homepage, use the drop down activities menu to choose the link to select a drop off time. Select a 1/2 hour drop off time that will work for your schedule. Please note that power sellers (those with 350+ items) MUST select the power seller drop off time for the Twin Cities sales.

If you have several bigger items and need to make multiple trips, please sign up for multiple drop off times. Selecting a volunteer time (optional) Consignors who tag their own items earn 65% of the selling price of their items. If you choose to volunteer, you can earn an additional 5% of your sales for each 3 hour shift that you volunteer up to a maximum of an additional 15% or a total of 80%. All volunteers also earn a pass for themselves and a guest to the volunteer pre-sale. To view and select a volunteer shift, select the "volunteer to work" link from the activities menu on your consignor homepage.

From the list of volunteer days and times select shift(s) that will work with your schedule. When selecting a volunteer shift please be aware of our volunteer policies:

Volunteers who are not also consigning need to select a shift prior to the pre-sale or one of the bartering options. No exceptions. Consignors who do not show up for a volunteer shift they have signed up for will lose any and all incentives they may have already earned AND an additional 20% of their sales. You can sign up for back to back shifts to count as 2 shifts. However, since most shifts overlap to make the transition easier, you will need to add the extra overlapped time at the beginning or end of your shift. You can have your husband, mom, dad, friend, etc. work a shift for you or with you to count as a second shift. However, you MUST request your husband, mom, dad, friend etc. be added to the schedule by ing kristal@munchkinmarkets.com FIRST. Family or friends who just show up without being on the schedule will NOT count as a shift and may be asked to leave. There will be absolutely no exceptions. If you are pregnant or have any other special needs please kristal@munchkinmarkets.com BEFORE signing up for a shift. Light-duty shifts are available only on request. Children are not allowed to accompany you during a volunteer shift. This includes ALL children, including those who you plan to have sit and do homework, read a book, watch a movie, play on electronics, sleep in their stroller, etc. Selling at more than one Munchkin Markets location Munchkin Markets holds sales in 6 locations each season: MN State Fairgrounds, Blaine Sports Center, Stillwater/ Woodbury, Duluth, Mankato, and Rochester. Consignors who wish to participate in more than one Munchkin Markets sale location are able to electronically transfer their inventory from one sale to another without having to re-enter or re-tag items. You MUST have the same consignor number at each sale to be able to transfer inventory electronically. IF YOU PLAN TO PARTICIPATE IN MORE THAN ONE MUNCHKIN MARKETS SALE, PLEASE READ THIS PAGE CAREFULLY TO ENSURE THAT NO INVENTORY GETS LOST AND TO AVOID HAVING TO RE-TAG ITEMS.

SCENARIO #1: You are a brand new consignor and have never signed up for a Munchkin Markets sale. Choose the first sale location and register as a new consignor. You will be assigned a consignor number and will select a password. After registering for the first sale location, use that consignor number to login and register at another location(s). Please send an to kristal@munchkinmarkets.com if you have trouble logging in at another location with the same number. SCENARIO #2: You have previously signed up for a Munchkin Markets sale and you have a consignor # at one or more locations. Try to register for the second location with the consignor number you currently have. If you are unable to register at the second location, please send an to kristal@munchkinmarkets.com requesting the same number at the second location. If you have registered for more than one sale location in the past, but do not have matching consignor numbers and you now wish to be able to electronically transfer items, please contact Kristal to have one of the consignor numbers changed PRIOR to entering new inventory. HOW TO ELECTRONICALLY TRANSFER ITEMS Once you are registered for more than one sale with the same consignor number you are ready to begin electronically transferring inventory. STEP 1 TRANSFERRING INVENTORY OUT First make sure that you do not have ANY items in your account for the sale you are transferring in to, sale #2 (This includes having inactive inventory in your acct for sale #2). Then, log in to your account for the sale you are transferring out of, sale #1, and choose to work with my consigned items, then move inventory out.

Select which sale you will be transfering into from the drop down list, enter your consignor number, password, click to select ALL items and hit submit. You will be given a batch number, write it down. Please be patient, especially if you have a large number of items, the transfer can take several minutes. STEP 2 RECEIVING INVENTORY IN

After completing Step 1, log in to your sale #2 account and select "work with my consigned items, then receive inventory in. Select the batch number you just wrote down and submit.

Verify that your inventory has been transferred in to your account by going to work with my consigned items then work with my consigned inventory (active). Remember only the last 5 items entered with show. Click on the box in the middle of the screen to view all items. SOME VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE ******VERY IMPORTANT*****- You must make sure both the active and inactive inventory of the account you are transferring items into are empty. If there are any items left in either your active or inactive inventory and you transfer new items in, you will probably have to re-print and re-tag your items. Please read any pop up messages and warnings on the screen during the transfer. Make sure your tags are marked Donate NO, and that you pick up all your unsold items on time. Otherwise they will be donated and not available to sell at the other sales. Please note that while a sale is going on, that sale s database is taken offline and will not be available for inventory transfer. Your inventory can only exist at one of the sales, at any given time. This is a technical issue to avoid duplicate item numbers. When you transfer your inventory from sale to sale, it will be deleted from the sale you transfer from and copied into the sale you transfer into. You can only change your inventory at one sale at a time. If you try to transfer items to your account that already has items in the account, you will have to delete all those items first, then transfer into an empty inventory account. It is STRONGLY recommended you transfer ALL items when transferring from one sale to the next to ensure an empty acct to transfer back into next season even if you do not plan to bring some items to the current sale (ie. winter items to the spring sale). If you would rather not try to attempt to electronically transfer your items from one sale to the next, please Kristal at kristal@munchkinmarkets.com and include the sale you are transferring from and to, your consignor number and password.
