Techlift has provided independent Third Party Verification services across a wide range of industries including oil & gas, construction, wind energy, demolition and infrastructure. We undertake a comprehensive evaluation of the lifting contractor s procedures, performing independent engineering and design checks. Techlift continue this process into the field ensuring that the contractor complies with the client s procedures, relevant statutory regulations and best practices. Techlift personnel work closely with the contractors team ensuring that the approved methods are followed and if necessary reviewing and approving any amendments. Our involvement provides a measurable contribution to a projects risk mitigation strategy by determining that a lifting operation can be carried out safely, in compliance with statutory regulations, on schedule and with minimum risk to personnel, public and equipment. We undertake a comprehensive review and analysis of every aspect of the lifting operation to reveal risks, identify weaknesses, and challenge the premise and logic of a proposed scheme. 4 The challenge We recognise that when it comes to lifting and transport operations clients are often faced with significant and complex challenges, no matter what their industry or where they operate. Standards, procedures and quality vary significantly from continent to continent and contractor to contractor. Skill levels, knowledge and experience can be unpredictable and the choice of truly international heavy lift contractors, that are fully conversant with client systems and procedures, is limited. So is there an alternative? We believe there is and we are committed to challenging the traditional approach to heavy lift and transport projects by combining disruptive thinking with smart technology and our extensive industry experience. Planning and engineering We place the highest value on our people s knowledge and experience; we embrace technology that allows us to approach the planning and engineering of projects in a very different way. Working with our technology partners we are developing real time 3D risk based planning and simulation of lifting operations. This will provide an ideal platform for process optimisation and risk assessment by addressing the what if? question in a virtual environment. This approach will improve schedules, reduce costs and increase project safety. Data taken from site and route surveys is used to produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings to cover every aspect of a lifting and transportation project. These drawings are supported by extensive engineering calculations, project procedures and task specific risk analysis ensuring that safety and quality are at the heart of all our processes.
