3 Move-in / set-up / dismantling Set-up schedule The Show move-in and set-up schedule will start on: Monday January 24 at 00h01 and will end Wednesday January 26 at 22h00. You will receive a schedule from SUM Logistik. All exhibitors must strictly respect the schedule as set by SUM Logistik, assigned to them by Mrs. Monique Dufour at (514) ext Access to the receiving dock of Place Bonaventure is located at the corner of Montfort and St-Jacques street. When delivering your material to Place Bonaventure, please observe the following: Parking in the reception area is strictly forbidden. Once unloaded, trucks must leave the area, or they will be towed away at the exhibitor's expense. You have a maximum of 20 minutes to unload merchandise. Trolleys will be supplied to the exhibitors, free of charge, to help them carry material to their booths. However, trolleys will be available in limited numbers, so it is strongly recommended that exhibitors bring their own equipment. All exhibitors material must be unloaded by their own staff. Forklifts and cranes will be available, free of charge, to carry and lift heavy equipment. However any time exceeding the schedule set by SUM Logistik will be at the expense of the exhibitor. You must reserve a period of time for the use of one of these services with Mrs. Monique Dufour of SUM Logistik. The exhibitor who will have failed to make such a reservation will not be guaranteed a set time or schedule to handle their materiel or equipment. We also offer an optional boat washing service at the foot of the ramp. Every day, from January 27 th till January 31 st 2011, exhibitors may use light rolling equipment to carry material to their booths, during the hour just preceding the opening of the Show. Each day, at the opening of the show, such equipment is no longer allowed in the hall; all material to be transported must then be carried manually. Dismantling schedule The period for dismantling booths and moving material out of the hall will begin on Monday January 31 st at 5 p.m. and will end Tuesday February 1 st at 11 p.m. Exhibitors are not allowed to dismantle booths, or display units before 5 p.m. on January 31 st, No trolleys are permitted into the hall until the alley carpets are removed. Any exception to the schedule must be approved by SUM Logistk or the Show management. Exhibitors must vacate the rented premises and remove all merchandise from Place Bonaventure no later than Tuesday February 1 at 11 p.m. Those who fail to do so will have to reimburse the management of the Show for whatever additional expenses are incurred to vacate and store their material or equipment. To minimize the risk of theft while booths are being dismantled, it is recommended that exhibitors remove all articles of value at the closing of the Show, and that the remainder of goods be kept under surveillance by the exhibitor. Storage facilities Cases, boxes and packaging material must be removed from booth areas. They are to be stored during the Show and brought back at the end of the Show by the exhibitors: Fold empty boxes and tie them together. Obtain storage labels on site from the technical adviser. Place the labels on boxes and write (in capitals letters) the name of your company and the number of your booth. Number your boxes. Inform at the loading dock/reception desk, when your boxes are ready to be stored. Unused trailers must be returned promptly at the loading dock. This procedure must be followed by exhibitors. Any unlabelled, unpacked boxes simply left in the aisles will be automatically discarded. Page -3-

4 Staff and employee registration (Badges) General information and regulation The Show management will register a limited number of exhibitor's booth attendants for the duration of the Show. The number of badges allocated for each exhibitor will be determinated by the size of the booth: From 100 to 500 sq. ft. : 5 badges 501 sq. ft. to 1000 sq. ft. : 10 badges More than 1001 sq. ft. : 1 badge/1 50 sq. ft. additional (Maximum of 45) Additional badges can be obtained at a cost of $15,00 each. This charge applies to lost, stolen or forgotten badges. Exhibitor badges will be available at the entrance service desk during move-in, starting on Tuesday January 25, To be allowed to work in a manufacturer stand, all dealers must be QMA member. Admissibility of exhibitors The administration retains the right to refuse admission to the exhibition hall to all visitors, exhibitors, or exhibitors employees who, according to the administration, are deemed undesirable or under the influence of alcohol, or are disruptive. To obtain authorization to install a booth, exhibitors must have paid in full the amount indicated in the space rental agreement. Pre-sale and free guest tickets Each exhibitor is entitled to receive guest tickets free of charge. The number of guest tickets an exhibitor is entitled to, is determined by the size (square footage) of it's booth space: From 100 sq.ft. to 499 sq. ft. : For each additionnal 500 sq. ft. : 2 guest tickets 1 guest ticket Each exhibitor may purchase additionnal admission tickets at the reduced rate of $ 10,50. The completed pre-sale ticket order form must be received before January 14, 2011 so they can be returned by mail. After this date, additionnal tickets will be available at the Show office until the opening of the Show at noon on January 27 th, the latest. Security A basic permanent security service is supplied by Place Bonaventure, during and after the opening hours of the Show. However, neither the Show administration nor the hall owners assume responsibility for lost, stolen or broken property. Page -4-

5 General regulation Use of exhibit space All dealers must be QMA member, to be allowed to work in a manufacturer stand. Only new current year boat can be exhibited in the Show, except with special authorisation from the Show management. In order to prevent obstruction of the aisles or to encroach on another exhibitor's space, boats need to be positioned within the limits of the exhibitor's space. An exhibitor can not, under any circumstance transfer or yield the use of it's space to another party. An exhibitor's space can not be used to promote or to make publicity for a distributor other than the one the space has been rented to. An exhibitor is not authorised to exhibit boats, advertise, distribute or have pamphlets, brochures of any make for which it is not the main exhibitor. An exhibitor can not use it's space to draw visitors to a competing event. Outboard motors must be mounted or transoms (no other type of support). Only the motors of which the manufacturers is an exhibitor into the Show can be exhibited in a booth, other than it's corporate booth. Access to emergency exits, fire cabinets, fire alarms and all other security equipment must have free access at all times. (Booth, equipment or any other material blocking any security equipment will be moved without notification). The distribution of souvenirs, samples, publicity material or any other handout can only be done from their booths. It is strictly forbidden to conduct any type of solicitation outside the exhibitor's booth. Exhibitors not complying with this regulation will be formally notified. AMQ reserves the right to expel any exhibitor at fault from the Show. Fireproofing Rules of the Montreal Fire Department require that all decorations be fire-resistant. Gas, diezel or propane engine can not be activated during opening hours, unless with a written authorisation of the Show management. It is important that the tanks or cylinders be half filled with gas to prevent oxidation. The tanks or cylinders must have security covers and be sealed for the duration of the Show. Batteries must be unplugged. Inspectors may demand that a booth be dismantled or that exhibit artifacts or other equipment that are not meeting the fire regulation requirements be withdrawned from the booth. All electrical appliances in operation in the Show must be CSA approved and bear a seal of approval. 6 Insurance General regulation The administration and the owner of the exposition venue cannot be held responsible for damage to products, booths, or tools caused by fire, theft or any other causes. During the exhibitor's stay in the hall, or in its connecting structures, the exhibitor must personally insure his material against all risks. The administration and the owners of the exhibition venue are also not responsible for any injuries suffered by exhibitors or their employees during their stay in the hall or its adjoining buildings. You will need to have in your possession, on site, a proof of liability insurance with a minimum limit of $ 2,000,000. It will have to be produced on demand by AMQ at any time before, during or after the Show. Walls, ceiling, floor and preservation of the integrity of the venue It is forbidden to perforate, paint or alter the walls of the building and the concrete pillars in the exhibition hall. Floors must not be perforated, painted or altered in any way. No adhesive other than adhesive tape can be applied to the floor. The distribution of stickers is prohibited. Costs incurred for removing these from the floor, walls or other stands will be charged to the exhibitor. Sound Exhibitors must show respect for their visitors and neighbouring exhibitors. The music inside the booth must not exceed 85 decibels at 1.5 m from the source. Anything causing offensive noise is forbidden and will be removed at the exhibitor's expense. It is forbidden to use a microphone for any demonstration. Release form No exhibition merchandise may be taken outside of the building without the exhibitor (or representative or attendant) having first obtained a release form. These forms may be obtained at the promoter's office, from January 27 th to January 31 st, Promotional activities and contest Any commercial solicitation must be done inside the booth itself. All such activities are prohibited in the aisles, restaurants and corridors. Commercial promotions and contests organized by exhibitors during the show must in no way involve the promoter in any commitments. On demand exhibitors must submit to the administration, the authorization obtained from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for the organization of such contests. All contests must be approved by the show management. Participation coupons will be the property of the show management. 7 Standard and prefabricated booths, including signs, must not exceed the following measurements : All sizes - 8 feet high An exhibitor who intends to use or build a prefabricated wall must make sure that the following standards are respected : 1 - A one-inch space must be left on either side of the wall of the booth. Authorization from the management, must be obtained for booths that do not conform to the rules. 2 - The design of booths must allow an unobstructed line of view, i.e. the maximum height of lateral walls standing in the first five (5) feet from the aisle must not exceed four (4) feet in height. Maximum height for all other walls is eight (8) feet. Any exception to this rule must be approved in advance by the show management. 3 - All partitions that are exposed to the public view must be tastefully painted or covered. 4 - All booths must have a ground covering (carpet) which must not exceed total area of the rented space No booth may block fire cabinets, fire alarms, power rooms, direction signs, or block access to rooms. Semi circular or umbrella type booths must include aesthetically pleasing rigid end walls. 7 - Only booths with hard walls are accepted; curtains are forbidden. Any special request concerning the appearance of a booth must be submitted to DEE Global for approval thirty (30) days before the opening of the Show, and must be accompanied by a sketch or plan illustrating that request. However, Show management allows the use of banners and promotional articles, on condition that they conform to the following rules : The area rented by exhibitor must be at least 400 sq. ft. Special authorization must be obtained from the management of the Show for any such installation. You must leave a minimum of (twelve) 12 feet (3,6 m) of free space above floor level. Self-supporting banners cannot exceed a height of 8 feet (2,44 m). Graphics need to appear on both two (2) sides. At all times the distribution of promotional items must be confined to the space rented by the exhibitors. You may post two sided professional signs advertising your products. All signs can not exceed 16 feet width and 8 feet height. Signs may be hung up over your booth and clear a minimum of 12 feet from the ground. Bilingual displays and commercial publicity is permitted providing that the french portion be predominant. All self supporting signs can not exceed the height and the width of the walls of the booth. No signs can be suspended f rom the ceiling by an exhibitor. Page -7-
