8 Track 3 Research - Logistic challenges A new logistical system Actions to be taken The current logistical system Challenge Knowledge creation on how to optimise traffic management on Dutch waterways: How transport operators can be stimulated and persuaded to make the choice for IWT instead of road? What new logistical concepts can strengthen this goal and accommodate the increase IWT between Rotterdam and the hinterland? How economically feasible are they? And what kind of (economic) policy should be considered to implement them?
