2 RATE Enquiry: This module as the first step of container management system is capable to act in 2 ways: 1- The Customer can make enquiry the rate via the web interface directly. It is obvious that the system send this enquiry to related agent intelligently. 2- Receiving request from customer via , FAX, Telephone, by agent and registering request on behalf of customer or define long term contracts basis of the terms and conditions which has been negotiated. 3 Booking: By this module requests by customers or principal or discharge ports agents can be sent automatically to the respective agent s folio and the agent after his co-ordination with the shipper will generate the booking reference. The origin ports agents can also generate the booking reference basis of valid contracts without any need to co-ordinate with principal. This will reduce a lot of work load pressure from the principal or regional offices in the very controlled manner. 4 Documentation: This part deals with different aspects of B/L related matters, the draft copy of B/L can be edited and confirmed by shippers at origin ports in system on-line (By CRM Panel) and controlled by agent before issuing or alternatively the agents can prepare the B/L drafts and issue the B/L in system basis of shipper s data. The B/Ls can be amended by agent and manifest will be automatically updated and all changes are logged along with the username who has performed such changes. 6 Vessel & Voyage: Principal will define the loops and voyage for main carriage and the agents can define the loops and voyage of the common feeders used in their area to connects the containers to mother vessels at time of pre-carriage or postcarriage of containers. 8 EDI CONTSOFT has owned a Communication procedure through XML which can handle all the transfers of data with external parties. The United Nations EDIFACT messages are defined in this procedure and are available for the CONTSOFT. UN/EDIFACT standards which have been applied in CONTSOFT are: CODECO IFTMCS COARRI COPRAR The agents do not need to install any extra software (of course they should have access to the Internet). Only the headquarter should define an account name and a password to give them access to the web application.

9 If the agents have an own application it is possible to exchange data via EDI messages. Demurrage/Detention: This module is used to calculate automatically the demurrage at origin & destination basis of predefined tariffs and special tariff for VIP customers. This section is capable of creating some hidden revenue based on defined criteria such as by customer, By service, by depot, by location, Afterward invoices are generated automatically regarding to tariff setting.this module is under construction and will be completed shortly. Special features: CRM Panel: After definition of a customer he/she will be able to login to related panel in CONTSOFT which is interact interface between customer and agent. Container tracking from initial stages of booking till arrival to the destination Reports: Different management reports such as total and subtotal revenue of each ship from each pot agent wise and status of booking lists at each port and many other reports can be extracted from the data as per management requirement.
