6 -Free time Period for Detention & Demurrage Charges- On import: it is a specific fixed and agreed grace period granted by the shipping line, which counts from date is discharged till the day empty is returned to appointed depot. 10 -GLOSSARY- 1- Delivery Order Fee: Covers all shipping agency costs associated with the imported including cargo manifest. 2- Container Conditioning Fee: Covers all expenses for equipment conditioning (inspection, cleaning and empty selling as well) post cargo delivery which is not included on the freight. 3- Import Container Deposit local/ transit: Applicable to all imported units that are unpacked outside port terminal. This is to ensure empty is returned within agreed time frame and in good conditions. Container deposit amount will be fully refunded to customer upon return to terminal or appointed depot and all checks done to confirm conditions as well as any outstanding invoice cleared. 4- TCFB/ SUMATRA charges: A short form of TANZANIA CENTRAL FREIGHT BUREAU, collected on behalf of the government for all s based on the origin of the cargo. 5- Container Service Charges: Container Service Charges (CSC) are additional costs, on top of the sea freight, charged by the shipping company for the handling of s at the terminal. 6- Lift On/ lift Off Fee: Charge applicable for imports to cover costs billed to the shipping agent by the local port authorities. 7- BL Issuing Fee: applies to all import shipments in which BL is requested to be issued or re-issued in Tanzania. 8- Manual Delivery Order: to cover all manual delivery orders, telex release, SWB releases or lack of 1 BL penalty fee. 9- Stripping charges: A charge due to a process in which a landed is unsealed (usually in the presence of customs) and all its contents are taken out. Also called unsnuffing/unloading of. Process of removing cargo from the. Mostly applicable for LCL (Less Container Load) cargoes. 10- Reefer monitoring charges: A charge for Reefer cargo handling at the port due to plugging in and supplying power earliest after being discharged 11- Drop Off Fee - Merchant Haulage: applicable for all merchant haulage transit cargo which empty is intended to be dropped out of Tanzania 12- Returned Cheque: applicable for all cheques that the agency receives and is returned by the bank due to lack of funds/ wrong information 13- Freight Collection Fee: associated with the collection of import freight to cover for bank transaction costs. 14- Second Seal fee: applicable whenever a second seal is requested by the customer to replace an import seal broken by customs or any other authority including customer or its appointed agent or on export side after initial seal released to customer. 15- Manifest correction: applicable whenever amendment to manifest is required or information was submitted late. 10

11 16- Export Documentation Fee: covers all export documentation including manifest and BL issuing in case customer wishes to issue BL in Tanzania 17- TCFB Charges/ SUMATRA fees export: TCFB CHARGES/SUMTRA FEES - Fees for any commercial consignment loaded from Tanzania collected on behalf of SUMATRA and invoice per tariff based on size. 18- Export Container Deposit: applicable to all empty units released for export packing outside the port/depot terminal. Same will be fully refunded upon full return to terminal in good conditions. 19- Change of Destination: cost applicable to change destination. Same still subject to operational capacity and feasibility as well as any additional costs resulting from extra restows (operational moves). 20- Manual Booking Submission: penalty fee charged for all bookings submitted manually and not through website/e-platform. 21- Manual SI Submission: penalty fee charged for all shipping instructions submitted manually and not through website/e-platform. 22- Invoice amendment or cancellation: charge associated with the request for cancellation or correction of any import or export invoice after its creation as initially instructed by customer. 23- Late Doc Fee: applicable whenever documents for exports or SI are handed-over to the shipping agent after deadline period which is 48 working hours before Actual Berthing time of the vessel at POL 24- Booking Cancellation Fee: applicable to all bookings cancelled by the customer or rolled more than once due to customer. 25- Telex Release Fee: applicable whenever customer wants to release Export OBL in other countries than Tanzania. 26- Vessel Renomination Fee: charge collected by the shipping agent on behalf of the port authorities in Tanzania whenever a vessel is changed after load list creation. 27- Bill of Lading Amendment fees: applicable whenever amendment to export OBL is required or information was submitted late after Printing of original documentation (OBL). 28- VGM miss declaration and overweight fees: applicable to all units above standard allowed weight at quoting/booking time/ and not following VGM regulation or for cases in which weight is miss-declared by the customer. 29- VGM Manual submnission : penalty fee charged for all VGM submitted manually and not through website/e-platform. 30- Import Detention Charges: charge collected to cover for costs associated with the idle time of. Same is applicable per day just after free period expiring date till empty return to terminal or appointed depot. 31- Export Detention Charges: charge collected to cover for costs associated with the idle time of. Same is applicable per day and after free period expiring date until full return at terminal. 11
