2 A strong resource The sea is our natural element because Jeka Group is based in the Port of Lemvig, Denmark, where we feel the breezes of the North Sea every single day. This sharpens our focus and reaffirms our belief that the sea is an eternal source of health and growth. Jeka Group comprises a number of different companies and brands. We share the same set of values and make the same high demands on quality. Together we p rovide a wide range of quality seafood products and we will happily develop new ones. This brochure gives you a brief insight into our world and the sea of oppor tunities we can offer your business. We inspire to choose quality. Every time. We look forward to enhancing quality together with you. Halldór Arnarson CEO Our roots go back all the way to Ever since we have been in spiring our customers to choose products of particularly high quality. Our success is based on fine raw materials, gentle catching and production methods and, ultimately, straightforward products. With respect for raw materials, we create superb taste experiences without compromising anywhere in our value chain. This imposes high requirements on our suppliers, employees and production methods. All year round, we provide a wide and attractive selection of seafood products from recognised suppliers. With our fresh, gently-processed products we will inspire you to make a quality-conscious choice. It s worth it. 2 3
3 . In every single bite. Seafood requires gentle processing, from catch to finished product. This is why all the companies and brands in Jeka Group base their work on superior quality criteria. We inspect all raw materials upon arrival and go through all our packaging processes with a fine-tooth comb to ensure maximum food safety. Our seasoned staff are trained to handle the sea s demanding raw materials, and our production environments are state-of-the-art and extremely hygienic. Our certificates: Our seasoned employees ensure gentle processing and high quality all year round. Sustainability It seems only natural to us to give our customers a choice. As a seafood producer, we take our share of responsibility for the world s fishery resources. Accordingly, we have a keen focus on sustainability, which is your guarantee of ideal catch methods and minimal environmental impact. Product Development Whenever we develop our own products or privatelabel products for our customers, we are part of the process from conceptual development to final product packaging. Inspired by modern trends, we develop attractive new products for all markets based on our throughout understanding of how to maintain quality standards in industrial production. 4 5
4 Brown Crab Live edible crabs are delivered to us directly from the North Sea and we process them the same day. We use a humane stunning method whereby the crab begin to hibernate before being brought to further processing. The finished products include whole cooked crab and crab claws, as well as several varieties of crab meat and value-added products. A wide range of quality products. Even under the surface. In Jeka Group, we cover a wide range of the seafood segment and develop products within our separate core areas. Based on quality raw materials, we create straightforward, high-quality products all year round. Danish Premium Quality Crabs. From the Pacific Ocean to the Limfjord, from fishing vessels to kitchen worktables, good products arise in cooperation between reliable suppliers, skilled product developers and dedicated production staff. Our cooperation respects the resources of the seven seas and focuses on ideal taste experiences at all times. Our results are inspiring. Fish Cakes The primary ingredient in our wide variety of fish cakes is line-caught cod. Thai spices, crab meat and salmon are added to some varieties, and we are always open to developing new ones. These products join convenience and high quality. Oysters We are close to the raw material because our Pacific oysters are harvested directly from the Limfjord, where we also farm our otherwise eradicated Limfjord oysters. We always take water samples on site and clean out the oysters in deep water. Back at the production site, we wash the haul and then pack it fresh. Shellfish We source cold-water and warm-water prawn species, crayfish tails from all over the world and a wide range of other shellfish, with a strong focus on MSC-labelled products. Our high-quality criteria can be seen and tasted in our products. Cod We specialise in line-caught cod, and we offer both wet-salted, lightly salted and refresh products all year round. The fish are caught in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans and are frozen within a few hours to ensure the best quality. This sustainable catch method ensures a whiter and firmer product. 6 Whelks Our whelks are pot-caught in the North Sea. The short distance from catch to production ensures a fast process and top quality. We cook the whelks to the right consistency, after which we gently package them. 7
5 Jeka Group means Quality. Throughout. We are a strong group of specialised seafood producers, all of whom give high priority to fine raw materials and excellent quality. The synergy between the companies enables us to provide a wide range of products, complete package solutions and cross-cutting product development. Together we boost the quality. Jeka Fish Jeka Fish was founded in 1985 and specialises in cod caught in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans using longline fishing. The company provides wet-salted, lightly salted and re-fresh products all year round. Cimbric Since 1964 Cimbric has been a pioneer within shellfish in brine. The company therefore has a long-standing experience, both in terms of supplier cooperation and processing. Now, the sound knowledge and unique know-how are also being applied in new concepts targeting the retail trade. Nordisk Krabbe Kompagni Nordisk Krabbe Kompagni arose in 2016 in cooperation with the Norwegian company Hitramat, the world s largest producer of edible crab. Their long-standing experience ensures unsurpassed quality from catch to processing. We offer a wide range of products and possibilities for your markets. 8 Havet s Havet s is the common brand we use for the retail trade. Focus on quality, sustainability, naturalness and convenience characterise the entire product range. The products keep up with modern trends and appeals to modern consumers. Oyster Boat Oyster Boat is a primary producer of European flat oysters. The oysters are raised during an unique organic 4 year aquaculture cycle. Oyster Boat also sells Pacific oysters from Limfjorden. The company s short distance from raw material to processing ensures high quality. 9
