3 Our Vision In deciding to join the Olive s family, you will become part of a group which will strive to grow and provide quality food and service to your selected community. Your contribution to Olive s will go beyond operating a new branch. In order to flourish, the group will work as one to maintain a high standard in cuisine. As we believe that we offer an unique product in our menu selection, the target will be for all existing and potential branches to supply this to their local markets, and introduce new customers to an innovative world of flavour. Successful marketing initiatives will be used to maintain constant growth across all Olive s franchises. Potential for new franchises are currently limitless, as there is little competition for the variety we can offer. With an ever-changing menu, we can ensure that even our regular customers will be in for a tasty surprise as they continue to enjoy our fine selection of freshly made pizzas. Our vision is for Olive s to grow into a national brand, with further growth available overseas. Interest has been expressed in Australia and India, providing a potential global markey of consumers who have yet to experience the wonderful assortment of cuisine we currently offer. Beyond simply providing our customers with food made for the sake of convenience, we aim to provide the highest quality range of dishes, at affordable prices. This booklet has been designed to provide you with an insight into the world of Olive s, with information which should prove helpful in your decision to set up a franchise of your own.

5 WELCOME TO A WORLD OF FRESH FOOD, MADE FAST.

6 Why Olive s? Olive s has started operations in Central Auckland, where the diverse ethnic range of the population is complemented by the wide variety of flavours offered on our menus. The menu of fresh pizzas was designed to cater to any palate. Our goal is to provide each customer with an unique view on how fast food can taste exceptional, and be exceptionally healthy. Olive s aims to provide a quality dining experience, whether it is for a quick lunch break or a family dinner. Alongside the general favourites most cutomers expect from a pizzeria, such as Hawaiian and Pepperoni pizzas, Olive s has developed an assorted range of delicious savoury and vegetarian pizzas which will appeal to the pickiest of eaters. Drawing inspirations from dishes originating in the subcontinent, we have strived to produce a different take on the humble pizza. As a result, there is a range of over 40 delicious pizzas to select from, whether it is a saucy Chicken Tikka or our distinctively spicy Paneer Chilli. Olive s is a perfect option for those with specific dietary requirements, such as vegetarians. We take extra care in ensuring that all of our orders meet the requirements outlined by our customers. Having set up successful branches across Auckland, we can assist you in running your very own Olive s franchise. What could be a greater career prospect than being your own boss? As a member of the Olive s group, you will be provided with ongoing support to ensure that you grow along with us.

7 Olive s Support When you have decided that you are ready to join the Olive s family, you may want to know what to expect from Olive s to assist with setting up your own franchise. All new franchises will go through the thorough launch process which will consist of: Site Selection In order to ensure you can attain the maximum return on your investment, it is essential to begin with the optimal location. You will work with the Olive s group to select the ideal site for your new franchise, which will take into account your perference as well as potential marketability. Initial Site Layout Drawings Once your site selection is complete, we will assist you in modelling the ideal setup for your new franchise. This will include a basic kitchen setup structured according to existing Olive s franchises, as well as a seating plan using existing available space. Operations Manual to Run the Store In order to succeed as a team, it is essential to work as a team. All franchises will operate according to an operations manual that will outline the daily running procedures expected from Olive s staff. Manuals may be edited over time in accordance with changing procedures and council regulations, and will be provided to all franchise owners at the earliest possible opportunity.

8 Staff Training With the franchise ready for operations, it is important to ensure all staff members meet your requirements, as well as those of the Olive s group. Staff will be provided with thorough training covering, but not restricted to, food prepartion, general cleaning, daily operations and security measures. Ongoing training will be provided when new procedures are in place. Marketing Guidance Olive s strives to provide a quality product, and will conduct market analysis to measure customer satisfaction and growth potential. This will be provided to franchise owners to outline prospective development opportunities. Authorised Supplier from Olive s to Supply the Products As Olive s is an unique brand, and to ensure the fresh taste of Olive s products are recognised in all branches, all fresh ingredients and other essential products will be provided by authorised Olive s suppliers.

9 What will be the on-going monthly franchise fees? 9% GROSS This consists of 1) 6% royalties 2) 3% advertising To develop as a brand, Olive s will maintain effective marketing campaigns to target potential customers. All advertising will be provided by the Olive s group, in the form of posters, cards, brochures and media campaigns. All tangible advertising will be distributed to Olive s branches prior to any campaigns taking place.

DAY ) Receive Local Council consent for works to be carried out. 2) Equipment orders placed. 3) Marketing collateral orders placed. DAY ) Local Designer to prepare and submit consent drawings for local authority consent. 2) Local Designer to provide design drawings to Olive s who obtains best pricing from authorised sub-contractors. DAY ) Construction of store begins. 2) Approval from local authorities prior to store opening. DAY 112 Store Opening Note: The process above is a guideline only and is subject to change as each store may differ somewhat.
