4 Our experience intu Properties Ltd Working in Partnership we have provided guidance and support in the creation of the intu vision for parking. We have effectively ensured the intu parking strategies are aligned with the overall guest experience and ensured the parking experience is an integral part of the overall shoppers customer journey. Focusing on this customer journey we were asked to find and implement solutions to improve the guest experience through either technological or manual enhancements, which would achieve the business objective of increasing car park occupancy and customer repeat visitations. By using the business intelligence systems available we were able understand the demographics and behaviours of their customers, this then allowed us through parking equipment technology to create such solutions as to provide rewards in return for their loyalty. A challenge for the busiest shopping centres was ensuring vehicles were kept free flowing and that parking bays were optimised and vehicle occupancy was evenly distributed. Through the use of digital signage and parking guidance solutions, plus our sensitive approach to parking enforcement, we have identified and created a range of traffic strategies which our operational teams will deploy to better manage and alleviate congestion. Paradise Birmingham, Birmingham The Paradise area of Birmingham s city centre is being transformed into a vibrant mixed use development of commercial, civic, retail, leisure and hotel space. The redevelopment covers 1.8 million square feet and includes a 550 space underground car park. We were appointed in 2014 as lead consultant for the parking and security elements of the development. The scope included car park design and function, signage and way finding strategy. The operational methodologies and create the technology and equipment specification. A detailed business and financial appraisal was undertaken to provide cost and revenue forecasts to feed into the long term business plan. The Designer Outlet is situated in the heart of Kent with around 80 premier and designer brand retailers. The outlet provides parking for over a 1,000 vehicles over four locations. Our role provides a full car park solution. We provide a number of fully trained operatives to provide proactive customer service and when required, parking enforcement using our sensitive approach, this also includes the deployment of an effective traffic strategy. We undertake cleaning and security of the site as well as first line maintenance and repairs for the parking equipment and technology systems. McArthurGlen Ashford, Kent Touchwood Shopping centre Solihull The shopping centre has over 80 premier stores and 20 restaurants, which are supported by two large multi storey car parks with around 1,700 parking spaces. As Touchwood is situated in a very busy town centre, our challenges have been to ensure we provide a proactive and effective service, which results in delightful shopping experience for our guests. We achieve this with our Integration+ solution which provides a complete car park service, including Shopmobility. We manage the car parks 24/7 with a dedicated car park team very focused on the customers experience.
