The steam traps work independently of ak pressure, thus ensuring universal appliation. The steam trap UNA 2.. features a ody with olted over and a regulating unit. The omponent parts an e exhanged after removing the over ut without having to take the equipment out of the pipe (easy in-line maintenane). Different types of regulating unit are availale for the steam traps. The regulating unit IMPLEX is a level-dependent float-atuated ontrol unit and partiularly well suited for old ondensate and superheated steam. The regulating unit DUPLEX is a float-atuated ontrol unit for temperature-dependent and automati deaeration of saturated steam systems. The regulating unit IMPLEX-MAX is a level-dependent float-atuated ontrol unit for large ondensate flowrates and partiularly well suited for old ondensate and superheated steam. The regulating unit DUPLEX-MAX is a float-atuated ontrol unit for large ondensate flowrates and suitale for the temperature-dependent and automati deaeration of saturated steam systems. The rosssetional area (CA) of the orifie ditates the max. flowrate when the valve is ompletely open. The max. admissile differential pressure of the ontrol unit is a funtion of the CA of the orifie and the density of the fluid to e disharged, and limited y the speified pressure / temperature ratings of the trap ody. There are different losing units (orifies) availale whih an also e exhanged susequently. The apaities are dependent on the differential pressure (working pressure). The differential pressure is the differene etween inlet and outlet pressures and depends among other things on the run of the pipe. If the ondensate downstream of the trap is lifted, the differential pressure is redued y approximately 1 ar for 7 m in lift. The max. admissile differential pressure is a funtion of the ross-setional area of the orifie and the density of the fluid to e disharged. olid line urves show the max. flowrate of hot ondensate that the steam traps UNA 23, UNA 25 and UNA 2 an disharge with virtually no anking-up.
