ORKOT C322 (TLM) Maine is also suitable fo the majoity of wate lubicated sten shaft systems. ORKOT TXM MARINE is a high pefomance mateial which exhibits lowe fiction and wea popeties than the TLM Maine gade. It is appoved to opeate without lubication in udde beaing applications and has been tested, with lubication against stainless steel fo submaine steeing gea at 57 N/mm 2 at 1m/min. In othe aeas without lubication the ORKOT TXM Maine mateial has been especially effective in eliminating stick slip poblems associated with dy unning conditions giving the mateials a boad ange of hydo applications. ORKOT TXM Maine is especially suitable fo low shaft velocities as used in submaine o naval suface ship sten shafts. It should be noted that ORKOT mateials ae not suitable fo use in high speed gease o oil lubicated sten shaft systems. machining O RKOT mateials ae eadily machinable by conventional machine shop techniques. As a geneal guide methods used fo bass, aluminium o lignum vitae apply fo ORKOT mateials. It is pefeable to use tungsten cabide cutting tools with cutting speeds of 5.5 metes pe second. 6 availability ORKOT is available as fully machined components o can be supplied as aw mateial in sheet, od, o tube fom. Components supplied fom flat laminate ae available in lengths up to 3000mm. Tube and od is available in sizes fom 10mm to 2000mm. ORKOT TXMM beaing mateial is available in tube and sheet fom o it can be supplied fully machined to the customes dawing. The mateial can be supplied in sizes fom 25mm to 1680mm diamete and in sheet sizes of 609mm x 1219mm and 406mm x 2997mm and in any thickness up to an including 100mm. Defomation and elasticity O RKOT mateials exhibit elastic defomation unde compessive loads. The plastic o pemanent defomation can be ignoed as long as the pemissible load of 120 N/mm 2 is not exceeded. Unde the technically pemissible load, elastic defomation is appoximately 10% of the mateial thickness. These figues ae valid fo compessive loads pependicula to the diection of lamination. It should also be noted that the pemissible load and defomation ae heavily dependent on tempeatue.
