Workplace Skills Planning & Skills Development Facilitator's Summit 2018 18-19 October 2018, City Lodge, Fourways The National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS) was established in South Africa, the DHET mandated SETAs to administer the financial implications of the NSDS, a mandate which they can only achieve by determining the skills shortages in South Africa through WSPs The need to advance the objectives of the NSDS prompted the creation of this event. Brief Professional Biographies of Presenters Des Squire, is an experienced ODETD practitioner and the Managing Member of Amsi and Associates. He has a wealth of experience gained over the past 30 years while holding Senior Managerial and Directors positions. AMSI & ASSOCIATES cc is a SMME and is accredited by the ETDP SETA Sharon is a Director of Hesscon pty ltd. She started her career in the hospitality industry as a Resort Manager at the Holidaying Club in 1997. After 9 years in this position, she joined Makro Outh Africa as a Business Development Executive Manager from 2007. After 5 years in this position, she left to start her own consulting business Hesscon as a Director. Sharon is the Association for Skills Development South Africa Kwazulu Natal chairperson Menét Hamel Menét is a senior HR Consultant and ODETD (Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development) Practitioner at Global Business Solutions based in Cape Town. Menét has experience in a range of HR related projects such as Section 197 (LRA) transfers; conducting employee satisfactions surveys; developing performance management schemes, recruitment techniques as well as various other HR principles. As an ODETD Practitioner, Menét is also an external Skills Development Facilitator and one of our lead facilitators on transformational legislation. Maryke Swanepoel-Gauteng Chairperson- Association for Skills Development South Africa Qualifications :Labour Relations Management, Skills Development Facilitator Assessor &Moderator Current Occupation: Senior HR Consultant Extensive experience in Skills Development and Employment Equity submissions. Conducting client Training Needs Analysis and Skills Audits. Working with department heads to develop and assist with implementation of training programs to ensure maximum upskilling of staff. Chairing Employment Equity and Training Committee meetings to determine all barriers. Sifikile holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Business Management specialising in Human Resource Development. Sifikile is a Qualified HR Practitioner, Qualified Coach and Qualified Assessor. He is a Passionate Learning and Development Practitioner, has more than 12 Years Experience working in various Learning and Development Roles combined with 8 Years Experience in Leading Learning and Development for Various Companies. He has worked for Standard Bank, Fusion Outsourcing and Metropolitan Health Group. Prior to joining Ster- Kinekor, he was the Learning and Development Manager for Woolworths South Africa. Andy Reinecke is a Skills Development Facilitator and Director of African Resources Training Group. He is also a member of the Association for Skills Development. His speciality lies in Change Management, Leadership Skills Building and Skills Development. He acts as a Skills Development Facilitator for various SMMEs in South Africa
