is one 12 venues within HQ Theatres & Hospitality s (HQT&H) current portfolio of regional theatres and concert halls. HQT&H currently manages 18 auditoria on behalf of local authorities, with capacities ranging from a 200 seat arts centre to a 2,400 seated/standing theatre. Last year HQT&H programmed a total of 2,354 shows which attracted attendances of over 1.5 million. POST OF MARKETING ASSISTANT 1. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As delegated by the Marketing & Sales Manager, implementation of tactical marketing and press activities in relation to the range of events and activities at, so as to achieve agreed objectives and targets, within budget. This includes: Planning and buying media advertising space Maintaining and growing relationships with journalists and media contacts Planning and organising promotional activities, such as interviews, photocalls, and stands at events. Taking responsibility for selecting and managing joint activities with the local charity of the year Updating the website Creating content for social media 2. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The post holder will dress in accordance with the uniform policy and will wear protective clothing as applicable. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Strategic Planning and managing s media relations activity; developing and maintaining positive relationships with the media to secure regular coverage for the venue and its shows Planning advertising schedules for all shows and events and buying media space Planning promotional activity for shows and events, including photocalls, Interviews Coordinating s attendance at key local events, including liaising with event organisers to ensure the venue has a prominent involvement, and coordinating casual staff support Operations Liaising with artists promoters to secure interviews, competitions, photocalls and reviews where appropriate Writing and distributing regular press releases about the venue s shows, events and corporate news Making amends to the website under the direction of the Marketing Officer Writing and producing customer e-shots using the venue s web and ticketing software, Audience View Coordinating print and online adverts, liaising with the designers and media to ensure attractive and effective adverts are delivered on time and budget Under the supervision of the Marketing Officer, creating leaflets, posters and displays Revising artwork, when required, for adverts or the website, using Photoshop Designing and scheduling s internal digital display screens using Powerpoint Contribution to customer service standards including upselling targets in order to reach departmental targets Contributing ideas to the show s marketing plans and ensuring all tactical activities are kept up to date on the plans Evaluating show marketing activities so that future activity can be refined accordingly Contributing to the daily social media activities, including overseeing the delivery of Twitter and Facebook targets Coordinating the production of the programmes for s orchestral concert season, and occasional other shows. Overseeing the partnership with s annual local charity partner. This involves liaising with their representative and ensuring that the agreed action plan for the year of partnership is delivered.
