We also fund research to find better treatments, campaign for better stroke care and help people understand how to spot and prevent stroke. 2 Directorate The Marketing and External Affairs directorate plays a vital role in delivering our strategy. We provide strategic leadership for engagement and stewardship of key audiences through an integrated, results orientated approach. Working alongside Fundraising, Strategy and Research, and Support Services, we deliver leadership and expertise in marketing, digital, public affairs, PR, event management, communication and creative services to deliver the charity s vision. Purpose of role Every Stroke Association role is designed to contribute towards achieving our strategic ambitions. The particular focus of this role is to help us to achieve Ambition 6: Building the foundations for long-term growth. The Digital Project Manager assumes the role of scrum master, having day-to-day responsibility for the smooth and effective running of the technical development of My Stroke Guide (our self-management website to support people who have been affected by stroke) and other discrete digital projects. They have overarching responsibility for sprint planning, scheduling and task allocation, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept up-to-date on progress. Key responsibilities of role Responsibility areas Performance indicators Key competencies Developing and managing detailed digital project schedules Project documentation and implementation Working with developers to plan and estimate development work All tickets in JIRA approved, with a completion estimate and priority level Planning sprints, managing the backlog and allocating tasks to developers Planned sprints in JIRA Assigned tickets in JIRA Reprioritised tickets as necessary Change readiness Working with developers to plan user acceptance Documented test scripts Sprint work peer-reviewed
3 testing, write test scripts etc. and released on time with no bugs Working with IT to plan other types of testing as required (eg penetration testing) Examples of collaboration Secure websites Organising and leading sprint meetings (stand-ups, demos/reviews, retrospectives) Actions of scheduled meetings Project plans and implementation Working with Product Owners to define tasks (write the user stories), refine functional specifications and prioritise work Identifying projects for collaboration, collaborating with other teams across the organisation and offering project management support outside the immediate Digital team User requirements expressed as approved user stories Full functional specification documents Prioritised tickets in JIRA Examples of collaboration Project documentation and implementation Ensuring quality of deliverables QA d, bug-free development work Compiling project statistics and reports Project documentation Identifying risks in project schedules and Up-to-date risk register Stakeholder comms as
