Job Description Job title: Business Analyst Reports to: Director of Business Development Department: Business Development As a Business Analyst the key to the success of your role will be to support the development of customer relationships and the generation of new revenue. The Business Analyst will report to the Director of Business Development. Purpose This new role is to support the Business Development function in our business. To ensure we support customers with the products, tools and services required to deliver against their own digital transformation strategies. The aim is to successfully implement opportunities that contribute towards the strategic operational plan. To ensure NBS sustain commercial advantage in the global market. Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of business process efficiencies and benefits across the NBS business. Engage with key process stakeholders across the business to accurately capture requirements, map business processes and translate changes into functional specifications. Deliver optimal solutions that drive customer satisfaction by delivering key business and internal customer KPIs. Working with in-house and offshore teams to turn business requirements into functional and technical solutions. Assist, influence and support business stakeholders with prioritisation of business requirements. Work with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of robust solutions that support the full end-to-end business process and optimise interrelationships. Meet personal and team milestones and deadlines. Ensure that all documentation is high quality, and fit for purpose for presentation to and sign-off by senior stakeholders. Effectively communicating and reporting activities to various stakeholders who may require a different message (for example: the customer; the service teams; the sales team; the executive directors). Instilling a culture of continuous improvement in all that we do. You may also be asked to undertake other duties outside of this job description that are commensurate with your skills and experience.

Measures of Success Successful delivery of improved business processes where cost of efficiency is tangible and can be measured. New business processes are lean and all waste identified has been removed. The business has a suite of easy-to-use, documented processes that are easy to follow and have been used in training. An empowered, effective and highly-motivated team. Customers are highly satisfied with the levels of engagement and support delivered, along with the quality of the insightful documentation supplied. Person Specification Ability to be a self-starter and operate with confidence in an autonomous role. Takes ownership and acts positively and proactively to make things happen. Sound commercial awareness and understanding. A team player who works collaboratively to build mutually beneficial relationships both with colleagues and with external contacts such as customers, suppliers and business partners. Strong business analysis skills are essential, i.e. process mapping, capturing business requirements, etc. Ability to build effective relationships with all levels of stakeholders, and to be assertive when required, is essential. A positive and proactive outlook is essential, as is the ability to see opportunities in challenges. Excellent organisation and planning skills are essential: the ability to work independently as well as either leading or working within a team. Proven experience in running effective workshops to capture business requirements is essential. A capable communicator (verbal, written and presentation) who can clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences, including senior management. Excellent people skills with the ability to effectively manage upwards and downwards. Experience of change and change management processes. The ability to seek and analyse information, define options and identify the best solution to overcome problems. A focus on continuous improvement. Forward-thinking. A track record of delivering to deadlines. High levels of honesty and integrity.
