GENERAL Salary Salary will be 21,220 to 24,565 per annum on Grade 5 on the single salary spine. The normal expectation is that starting salary will be at the minimum of the advertised salary scale. Starting date The post is available from 1 March 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter on an indefinite full-time basis. Annual Leave Entitlement There is an annual holiday entitlement of 20 days plus statutory (8 days) and customary (6 days) holidays.

APPENDIX A JOB DESCRIPTION REF: SC3063 Job Title: Social Media Coordinator Grade: 5 Department: Reporting to: Marketing and Communications Department, Admissions, Recruitment and Marketing Service Marketing and Recruitment Manager Job Function/Purpose: To play an active part in the maintenance and development of UEA s social media presence. Working closely with the Marketing and Recruitment Manager, the role holder will develop a social media strategy for the university and ensure this is implemented across all faculties and departments, ensuring that consistent and coherent messages come from the university. Planning and development of social media content for multiple channels is a key aspect of the day to day cycle. Regular reporting and awareness raising sessions with colleagues regarding social media reaction to key events also form a key part of the role. Regular sense checking of competitors and download sessions to team members about social media developments help to ensure UEA stays ahead of its educational rivals. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for maintaining daily activity, ensuring relevant conversations are listened to and passed to colleagues for comment or monitoring where applicable. Daily maintenance and upkeep of the university s social media monitoring tool, ensuring all sentiment is accurately recorded and campaigns are set up as requested. To produce and present a monthly update of social media activity, highlighting key achievements, trends and how negative sentiment has been managed. To drive forward and take responsibility for using social media as a recruitment tool for undergraduate and postgraduate markets.
To contribute to the development of a social media strategy for the UEA, with a clear roadmap that shows where UEA would like to be in 12 months time. To build relationships with key social media contacts within the university and support schools and departments with their social media activity.
