SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION SERVICES EMPLOYEE GRADE 6 CLASSIFICATION DETAILS Competency Judgment, Independence and Problem Solving Level of Supervision 1. SELECTION CRITERIA Essential Requirements Qualifications and Experience Knowledge Skills SAS 6 duties typically require a skill level which assumes and requires knowledge or training equivalent to: A degree in a relevant discipline Eg Business, Commerce, Project Management or Arts. Relevant experience in fundraising and or customer / donor relationship management. Experience in handling money; including receipting, banking and pledge agreements. Or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience in fundraising and or customer / donor relationship management, combined with relevant education and training (Certificate IV level or greater). Customer and Personal Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. KEY TASKS AND DUTIES Administration Maintain accurate and comprehensive gift processing, receipting, recording, pledge and reminder systems. Prepare for, and minute, Grammar Fund Committee meeting. Development and delivery of the annual fund; including preparation of collateral, copy and the mailing strategy. Prepare reports on fundraising initiatives. Contribute articles to the Alumni and School Newsletters. Contribute content to the LCGS Website. Provide administrative support to the Director of Community Engagement. Work with the Alumni & Events Officer to coordinate and implement events. Donor Relations / Major Prospective Donors Create a plan for individual prospective donors based on the donor s history of giving and information from the School s database of that donor s potential. Work with the Director of Community Engagement in the development of strategy for a series of events that will be used in the implementation of prospective donor plans to engage and secure gifts. Bequest Programme Seek to identify prospective bequestors and cultivate their involvement and interests in the School. Educate potential bequestors as to how they might direct their bequest, with the duel aim of securing funds and fulfilling the bequestors needs. Develop contacts with, and gain, voluntary assistance from legal and accounting professionals, who might help promote the School as a recipient of bequests. Implementation of bequest strategies. Remuneration Hours & Days of Work Travel Co-Curricular Programme First Aid Working with Vulnerable People Registration Workplace Health and Safety Wages are based on School Administration Services Employee Grade 6. The current commensurate hourly rate for this role is $31.123252 which is based on the full-time equivalent salary of $60,690.34 per annum. This position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week. A typical day is 8.30am to 5.00pm. This position is based at the Mowbray Campus, however the need to travel both locally and interstate may arise in the course of duties. Involvement with the School s co-curricular programme is welcomed. Such involvement attracts an allowance, appropriate to the activity, in addition to salary. All Launceston Church Grammar School employees are required to hold the HLTAID004 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting qualification. Employees are responsible for initial cost of this qualification. The School provides for the 3 yearly re-certification of this qualification, following commencement of employment. All Launceston Church Grammar School employees are required to register for the Working with Vulnerable People Check (Tasmania). This check is issued by the Department of Justice; please refer to http://www.justice.tas.gov.au/working_with_children for further information. Registration is valid for three years and the costs associated with the check are the responsibility of the employee. At the time of employment and every three years thereafter, employees must supply the Human Resources Department with a copy of their check or complete a statutory declaration (until the check arrives). Failure to obtain and / or maintain registration may result in termination of employment.
