Tutor Specialism - Business & Customer Support Services Location: Peripatetic Based from Liverpool Office (Old Hall Street) with some home working Reports to: Operations Manager Direct Reports: None Key stakeholders: Primary Objectives: The KPE Tutor is responsible for the high-quality and inspirational delivery of a range of courses and syllabi in direct support of Kaplan Pre-Employment services. This includes the delivery of contextualised and differentiated teaching and learning which flexibly supports the diverse requirements of a range of Pre-Employment clients The role requires a good working knowledge of Ofsted gradings and requirements to ensure consistent and effective delivery of teaching and learning of (at least) Grade 2 standard. KPE tutors are required to work closely with colleagues to ensure that whilst in-training the transferrable skills of the client group are identified and matched to current KPE vacancies This is a peripatetic role which requires flexible delivery of services at various sites including: Kaplan Centres, JCP s and other appropriate venues to meet the needs of the business Key Performance Indicators To promote and deliver the Kaplan Way Principles to internal and external stakeholders Student Success Put Students First A Great Place Engage in our work with energy, urgency, and personal responsibility for results Continuous Transformation

Provide a sound learning environment supportive to inspiring learners and motivating them to apply for the job opportunities made available to them Contribute to/support Curriculum Development colleagues/activities to ensure the KPE Curriculum offer is current and fit for purpose in line with awarding organisation assessment criteria, industry best practice and prevailing local requirements Inspire learners by providing considered information, advice and guidance; and/or bridging the skills and knowledge gap between them and their desired job role Motivate clients and colleagues by demonstrating a can-do/positive attitude and approach towards employment prospects Provide the necessary support to ensure that all clients have an up to date CV by the end of week 1 (to facilitate initial applications) and that CV s are updated on completion of the course to reflect outcomes of the course Adhere to all KPE KPI including but not limited to: timely success; withdrawals and overall Outcome achievements To manage a caseload of clients on a roll on roll off delivery basis ensuring learners are enthused, engaged and benefit from the curriculum offered by KPE To ensure learners are inspired and have a positive experience within the classroom and outside the classroom environment whilst engaging with the KPE offer To support unemployed clients in job search, job matching and interview success techniques To liaise closely with KPE colleagues to ensure that there is clear focus on job outcomes throughout the learning programme experience To accurately maintain relevant IT systems and reporting systems ensuring learners are tracked and feedback is provided in a timely and constructive manner To meet clear targets to ensure continued business growth Facilitate and contribute constructive programme feedback in appropriate forums Participate fully in standardisation activities as required Plan for and ensure efficient, cost effective, time and resource management The security and proper use of personal IT equipment and IT suites/equipment issued to support delivery of services at various locations Ensure strict compliance with all Kaplan data and ICT policies and working instructions Comply with all instructions relating to the security and maintenance of company equipment and facilities Provide assistance to other areas of the wider business as necessary Person Specification and Competencies To succeed in this role, it is likely that candidates will be: Commercially aware Energetic, enthusiastic and committed Open minded and flexible

Circumstances - Additional information The role will include service delivery and or Liaison with appropriate persons at client premises, JCP and/or other facilities as necessary. Travel and a flexible and amenable approach to this peripatetic style of working is required The dispersed nature of our operations dictates that a high degree of independence, resourcefulness, flexibility and tact are an absolute pre-requisite for this post The post holder will be required to drive and may be required to transport/lift heavy materials (laptop testing suites and/or ancillary delivery equipment/resource) This is a comprehensive but not exhaustive list of duties; you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by a changing role within a dynamic organisation.
