ADMISSIONS, RECRUITMENT AND MARKETING SERVICE RECRUITMENT AND OUTREACH DEPARTMENT The Post Recruitment Events Manager Ref: ALC669 A creative, experienced, hard-working and self-driven Event Manager is required to manage the Recruitment Events and Enrichment teams within the Recruitment and Outreach department at UEA. The post-holder will take a lead role in meeting growth targets outlined in the UEA 2016-2020 Plan. The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of all on campus student recruitment events from conception to delivery, they will be required to think innovatively and work collaboratively with colleagues across UEA to ensure the successful delivery of these events. Person Specification The person specification for this post is attached as Appendix B. GENERAL Salary Salary will be 32,004 to 38,183 per annum, on Grade 7 on the single salary spine. The normal expectation is that starting salary will be at the minimum of the advertised salary scale. Starting Date The post is available immediately on an indefinite full-time basis.

The post-holder will take a lead role in meeting growth targets outlined in the UEA 2016/2020 Plan. The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of all on campus student recruitment events from conception to delivery, they will be required to think innovatively and work collaboratively with colleagues across UEA to ensure the successful delivery of these events. As well as ensuring the smooth delivery of existing recruitment events, the role holder will be expected to review and develop the strategy for the delivery of events in the future. Although based in the Recruitment and Outreach Department the role holder will liaise closely with the admissions and marketing teams and academic colleagues across the University to ensure involvement and engagement with our prospective students. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Overall responsibility for the end-to-end management (including strategy, planning, delivery and evaluation) of a series of on campus, large scale student recruitment events Close liaison with the marketing team to ensure recruitment events are correctly branded and marketed using the most appropriate channels To ensure we are delivering sector leading student recruitment events including open days, applicant days, an annual teachers conference, UCAS Norfolk HE convention, subject summer schools, academic taster sessions and a lecture series Identify opportunities to continually evolve and innovate the current offering of events to help UEA reach its overall admissions targets Acting as a brand ambassador for the university at events in person. Produce statistical reports reflecting registration, attendance and conversion figures to offer insight to the Senior Leadership Team on the events Suggest creative and innovative ideas for new recruitment events and implement these where possible Create a target-driven environment and motivate the team to achieve the vision and objectives outlined in the Recruitment Events and Enrichment strategies

To line manage the Recruitment Events and Enrichment teams and promulgate good practice in academic administration in the recruitment events area and to monitor the quality of administrative services to ensure that they are of the highest standards in accordance with the appropriate University guidelines and procedures To recruit, manage, train and appraise staff as agreed with the Head of Recruitment and Outreach and the Director of Admissions, Recruitment and Marketing in accordance with employment procedures and regulations.
