Horticulture Plantation Name of the beneficiary: Baliram Munda Village: Dumardagga Area: 01 Acre Cost Incurred: Rs. 40,000/- per ha. Types of Plants: Mango Total no. of Plants: 100 Cost of per plant: Rs. 100/- Year of Plantation: Input: DAP ½ Kg, Vermi Compost 5 Kg, Karanj Cake ½ Kg, Pit digging charge Rs. 30/- per pit. WDF: Fencing cost and cow dung for plants. Irrigation Facility: From pond constructed nearby. Survival Rate: 100% (approx.) Recommendation: To use termite powder instead of lime for controlling termite attack and to spray the insecticide at regular interval. Remarks: Very Good 2. Horticulture Plantation Name of the beneficiary: Sanika Munda Village: Dumardagga Area: 02 Acre Cost Incurred: Rs. 40,000/- per ha. Types of Plants: Mango Total no. of Plants: 170 Cost of per plant: Rs. 100/- Year of Plantation: Input: DAP ½ Kg, Vermi Compost 5 Kg, Karanj Cake ½ Kg, Pit digging charge Rs. 30/- per pit. WDF: Fencing cost and cow dung for plants. Irrigation Facility: No irrigation facility
3 Remarks: Poor. All the plants have died due to lack of irrigation and care by the beneficiary. 3. Afforestation Name of the beneficiary: Community Village: Jaltanda Area: 0.5 Acre Cost Incurred: Rs. 40,000/- per ha. Types of Plants: Teak Total no. of Plants: 750 Cost of per plant: Rs. 22/- Year of Plantation: Input: DAP ½ Kg, Vermi Compost 5 Kg, Karanj Cake ½ Kg, Pit digging charge. Irrigation Facility: No irrigation facility Remarks: Poor. Though the whole area has been surrounded by the cattle proof trench but all the plants have died due to lack of irrigation and care by the beneficiary. 4. New Pond Name of the beneficiary: Kopia Sanga Village: Jaltanda Year of Construction: Estimated Cost: Rs. 1,95,000/- Actual Cost Incurred: Rs. 1,95,000/- Command Area: 3 ha. Water Level: 2 water level from bottom. WDF: Rs. 9750/- Recommendation: Keeping the rill erosion in view, it was suggested to cover the bund of the pond with grass. Remarks: Average. Though the pond can serve around 2 ha. of land but the near plots are not utilized for any cropping.
4 5. New Pond Name of the beneficiary: Sukher Pahan Village: Dumardagga Year of Construction: Estimated Cost: Rs. 1,95,000/- Actual Cost Incurred: Rs. 1,85,250/- Command Area: 2 ha. Water Level: 1 water level from bottom. WDF: Rs. 9750/- Recommendation: Keeping the rill erosion in view, it was suggested to cover the bund of the pond with grass. Remarks: Average. Incomplete work as per estimation in DPR. 6. New Pond Name of the beneficiary: Fagua Munda Village: Dumardagga Year of Construction: Estimated Cost: Rs. 1,95,000/- Actual Cost Incurred: Rs. 1,85,250/- Command Area: 3 ha. Water Level: 2 water level from bottom. WDF: Rs. 9750/- Benefit: The pond is useful for irrigating nearly three ha. of land, fishery work is also being done by the beneficiary. Recommendation: Keeping the rill erosion in view, it was suggested to cover the bund of the pond with grass. Remarks: Good
5 7. Land Leveling Name of the beneficiary: Ladura Pahan Village: Jaltanda Area: 1.5 ha. Cost Incurred: Rs. 30,456/- + 24,904/- = Rs.55,360/- Benefit: Earlier the plot was wasteland which was converted into arable land after land leveling. This ensured uniform application and distribution of water throughout the field which helped in maintaining maximum yield per unit volume of water. It was also beneficial in irrigated areas to conserve moisture and increase irrigation efficiency. It has impounded the runoff water which was absorbed gradually into soil profile for crop use. Remarks: Good 8. Loose Boulder Structures Name of the beneficiary: Mahadev Baraik Village: Chiruhatu Total no. of structures: 05 Per Unit Cost: Rs.14000/- Total Cost: Rs. Rs.70, 000/- Benefit: Through this structure the soil erosion has been controlled to a great extent. The excess runoff has also been somehow managed. Remarks: Average 9. Livelihood- Goatry & Bamboo Handicraft Total SHG Formed in Banai Nala Micro Watershed- V: 11 (Archana Mahila Mandal, Aparna Mahila Mandal, Jyoti Mahila Mandal, Gulab Mahila Mandal, Nurwanti Mahila Mandal, Ekta Mahila Mandal, Pragati Mahila Mandal, Birsa Yuva Mandal, Karma Group, Archana Mahila Mandal & Laxmi Mahila Mandal). Village: Chiruhatu & Dumardagga Name of the SHG interacted: Jyoti Mahila Mandal Formation Year: 2010 No. of Members: 13 Chairmen Name: Shanti Dhan Secretary Name: Tetri Tiru Treasurer Name: Lusia Munda Date of Meeting: 10 th of the every month. Amount of Savings: Rs. 10/- per member Rate of Interest: Rs.5/- per hundred.
6 IGA engaged in: Duckery, Goatry, Bamboo Handicraft & Vegetable cultivation. Remarks: The SHG was found to be very vocal. The common interest for income generating activity was found among the members. The book keeping and other records were satisfactory.this SHG has done the agriculture demonstration in high yield varities of vegetable seeds. The SHG s had got the training on various themes like goatry, use of SRI techniques, watershed management etc. and exposure visits to Nagri Block and at Watershed Training Centre at Hazaribagh District. Name of the Chairmen: Ram Ratan Manjhi Name of the Secretary: Bali Oraon ( ) Activities: 1. Land Leveling Name of the beneficiary: Rajesh Singh Village: Dulwa Panchayat: Kunjla Area: 1.5 ha. Cost Incurred: Rs.42, 000/- per ha. Year of Work Completion: Benefit: Earlier the plot was wasteland which was converted into arable land after land leveling. This land is being used for paddy cultivation only. This ensured uniform application and distribution of water throughout the field which helped in maintaining maximum yield per unit volume of water. It was also beneficial in irrigated areas to conserve moisture and increase irrigation efficiency. It has impounded the runoff water which was absorbed gradually into soil profile for crop use. Recommendation: Cultivation of vegetables throughout the year was suggested to the beneficiary. For irrigation, water from the nearby pond through lifting was recommended. Remarks: Good 2. WDF: Fencing cost and cow dung for plants. Irrigation Facility: From pond constructed nearby. Survival Rate: 50% (approx.)

Recommendation: To use termite powder instead of lime for controlling termite attack and to spray the insecticide at regular intervals. Remarks: Good. The gaps between the two plants were fully utilized by inter cropping of vegetables. 4. Horticulture Plantation Name of the beneficiary: Amrendra Manjhi Village: Mahil Panchayat: Hanssa Area: 0.5 Acre Estimated Cost: Rs.38,000/- Cost Incurred: Rs. 40,000/- per ha. Types of Plants: Mango (Aamrapali) Total no. of Plants: 100 Cost of per plant: Rs. 100/- Year of Plantation: Input: DAP ½ Kg, Vermi Compost 5 Kg, Karanj Cake ½ Kg, Pit digging charge Rs. 30/- per pit. WDF: Fencing cost and cow dung for plants. Irrigation Facility: Through the nearby pond. Survival Rate: 90% (approx.) Recommendation: To use termite powder instead of lime for controlling termite

New Pond Name of the beneficiary: Sahdeo Munda Village: Hesal Panchayat: Kunjla Year of Construction: Estimated Cost: Rs. 3,00,000/- Actual Cost Incurred: Rs. 2,93,200/- Command Area: 4 ha. Water Level: No water at present. Recommendation: Keeping the rill erosion in view, it was suggested for grass pitching on the bund of the pond. Remarks: Good. Fishery work is also being done in this pond. Approximately 2-3 kgs of fish fingerlings were put in the pond for further production. 6. New Pond Name of the beneficiary: Budhu Topno Village: Hesal Panchayat: Kunjla Year of Construction: Estimated Cost: Rs. 1,85,000/- Actual Cost Incurred: Rs. 1,95,000/- Command Area: 2.5 ha. Water Level: 3 water level from bottom. WDF: Rs. 10,000/- Recommendation: It was suggested for land leveling in the nearby land which could be further utilized for vegetable cultivation. It was further suggested for raising grass pitching around the bund of the pond. Remarks: Good. Last year, production of water melon was done on the bund of this pond. Fishery work is also being done. Approximately 5-6 kgs of Rehu and Mriga species of fish fingerlings was put in the pond.
10 7. New Pond Name of the beneficiary: Amar Singh Pahan Village: Mahil Panchayat: Kunjla Year of Construction: Estimated Cost: Rs. 3,00,000/- Command Area: 3 ha. Water Level: 5 water level from bottom. WDF: Rs. 9750/- Benefit: The pond is useful for irrigating nearly three ha. of land, fishery work is also being done by the beneficiary. Approximately 5-6 kgs of Rehu and Mriga species of fish fingerlings was put in the pond. Remarks: Good. Inlet and outlet pipes for inflow and outflow of water were found in the pond. The bund of the pond was turfed with grass. The sign board was also available at the site. 8. Land Leveling Name of the beneficiary: Budhwa Oraon Village: Mahil Panchayat: Hanssa Area: 1.5 ha. Estimated Cost: Rs.66,200/- WDF Collected: Rs.3690/- Year of Work Completion: Benefit: Earlier the plot was wasteland which was converted into arable land after land leveling. This land is being used for paddy cultivation only. This ensured uniform application and distribution of water throughout the field which helped in maintaining maximum yield per unit volume of water. It was also beneficial in irrigated areas to conserve moisture and increase irrigation efficiency. It has impounded the runoff water which was absorbed gradually into soil profile for crop use. Recommendation: It was suggested for vegetable cultivation throughout the year. For irrigation, water from the nearby pond through lifting was recommended. Remarks: Good
11 9. New Pond Name of the beneficiary: Jhagru Pahan Village: Mahil Panchayat: Hanssa Year of Construction: Estimated Cost: Rs. 1,95,000/- Command Area: 3 ha. Water Level: No water at present. WDF: Rs. 8767/- Benefit: The pond is useful for irrigating nearly three ha. of land. During the time of paddy cultivation, this pond was very useful in irrigating the lands. Remarks: Good. 10. Well Renovation Name of the beneficiary: Kuldeep Ganjhu Village: Mahil Panchayat: Kunjla Completed under Head: Entry Point Activity Year of Construction: Estimated Cost: Rs. 3,60,00/- Size: 20 X 30 Benefit: The renovated well was found to be very useful for serving the purpose of drinking pure and safe water for almost eight households. Remarks: Good. 11.
