5 Conclusion The new rice variety MDU 6 is suitable for Kuruvai season and observed very less incidence of leaffolder and stemborer and thus reduced the cost of pesticides. It will be upscaled in ensuing Kuruvai season.

8 Conclusion The variety is excellent and the yield. Less incidence of disease and harvest is early 10 days (130 days) compared to bapatla. Good market value. Upscaling 40 tonnes of seeds were produced as TFL and it has been sent to Department of Agriculture Thiruvarur. By this process it is expected to cover 1600 Ha in the forth coming season.

11 Conclusion Harvesting of paddy with belt type harvester does not damage the pulse crop and enhances the germination (93.5%). The uniformly distributed load of the belt type harvester does not damage the pulse. Increase of yield over check was more than 40% Optimum plant population maintained (33/m 2 )

23 Up scaling Yes Conclusion School students were poor in nutritional knowledge. FLD has been an eye opener. Nutritional status of students and their families improved significantly. Interest towards farming and agriculture has been inculcated. Students were happy to use the agriculture produce harvested by them to be used in Noon meal scheme. Nutritional awareness among schools is the need of the hour since whole family will be treated for nutritional deficiencies thereby improving the health of farming community.

40 Conclusion The Bivoltine silkworm has produced higher cocoon yield than conventional yellow silk cocoon. Higher cocoon price which ultimately produced higher return. Hence, the farmers felt that, Bivoltine silkworm is more profitable with the same method of silkworm rearing It was upscaled during last year.

43 Conclusion The application of Illamathi has increased the size as well as weight of the cocoon. Hence, the higher yield was achieved. Illamathi has a impact during silkworm larval stage and ultimately increased the size and weight of the cocoon. The application of Illamathi has no adverse effect on silkworms. It will be upscaled during this year.
