The stabilised nitrogen fertiliser less work, more yield and environmentally friendly

ALZON 46 minimises dust, even with intense operational demands. As a non-electrolyte, ALZON 46 has a less corrosive effect on equipment, is free from ballast materials and leaves no residues in the soil. This year we used Alzon on all our wheat and barley and it looks really good. We have reduced our passes from 3 2 and next year we will reduce the rate due to its efficiency. The spreadabilty of Alzon was very good and extremely even in the tray tests. We farm in an environmental area and Alzon also works for us to reduce leaching and volatilisation. Chris Evans Lee Valley, Holyfield Hall Farm, Essex

Costs down, profits up: ALZON 46 noticeably pays off ALZON 46, The Stabilised Nitrogen Fertiliser for efficient and environmentally friendly fertilisation rinciple of nitrogen stabilisation. ALZON 46 is a branded product of SKW Stickstoffwerke iesteritz GmbH that guarantees consistent high quality. Stabilisation of the nitrogen results in significant benefits, such as higher efficiency, reduced number of fertiliser applications, improved plant nutrition and environmentally friendly fertilisation. ALZON 46 also makes work easier through its high nutrient content, excellent spreading properties, good plant compatibility and ease of use. ALZON 46 is an innovative quality fertiliser, state-of-the-art in terms of development and suited for all crops for optimal nitrogen supply.

Benefits Better for your crops, better for your profits and better for the environment Ammonium fertilisation with Alzon 46% Reduced gaseous N losses Reduced Leaching Moderate and continuous N availability to roots Short term ph reduction in root zone Lower N losses Better N Supply Better hosphate and micronutrient availability Increase of Yields and N efficiency artial ammonium nutrition lant physiological effect ( low energy required to updake N ) ALZON 46 is a unique product to the UK market manufactured in Germany by SKW iesteritz. The product is an ammonium fertiliser, containing a nitrogen stabiliser which is incorporated during manufacture. This represents a totally new concept in crop nutrition, providing crops with a nitrogen source unlike any other. The nitrogen stabiliser within ALZON 46 controls the fertilisers change from ammonium to nitrate, allowing higher application rates without increased risk of nitrate losses. This provides crops with a source of ammonium which converts into nitrate in a controlled manner throughout the growing season. ALZON 46, stabilising your nitrogen investment ALZON 46 will: rovide improved efficiency over other nitrogen sources. rovide the opportunity to reduce nitrogen rates without loss of yield. rovide crops with continuous nitrogen fertilisation. Allow earlier and larger applications of product. Reduce application cost from fewer passes and increased nutrient content. Improve crop uptake, quality and yield. Reduce losses of nitrate throughout the season.

Mode of Action ALZON 46 slows the change from Ammonium to nitrate for up to 15 weeks depending on soil temperature Application of ALZON 46 Ammonium Nitrification Inhibitor Application Nitrite Application Leaves no residues in the soil. Harvest Reduced de-nitrification. Reduced N₂ emissions. Ammonium Reduced nitrate leaching. 6 Gleadell exclusively market this innovative SKW iesteritz product to the UK farmer New technology developed specifically for the cooler Northern European climate. ALZON 46 s inhibitor is actually incorporated into the fertiliser granule during the manufacturing process, and not sprayed on, unlike other products on the market. Therefore it can be stored prior to application without effecting the mode of action. You can use this product on all crops with every conventional fertiliser spreader. The uniform and dust free granules have been tested by SCS - Spreader and Sprayer Testing Limited to give excellent spreading properties of up to 36 metres. Depending on the weather and local conditions, N is available when it is required over a much longer period, reducing luxury uptake. The highest yields and best qualities are achieved, with a favourable nitrogen balance at the right time. Higher nitrogen efficiency, fewer fertiliser applications, improved plant nutrition and very importantly this product allows a more environmentally friendly approach to fertiliser application. ALZON 46 is a nitrogen stabiliser not a urease inhibitor thus delaying the whole of the nitrification process

ALZON 46 brings economy in line with ecology Less in drainage water ALZON 46 works longer, more effectively and sustainably Fertilisation content mg NO₃/l Without fertilisation 35 CAN 82 ALZON 46 Source: BTI Bremen The controlled conversion of nitrogen, from stable ammonium to mobile nitrate, achieves a required and balanced nitrogen supply, and also results in high nitrogen use efficiency. Ammonium-dominant nutrition prevents the undesired luxury uptake by the crops and better root growth. ALZON 46 reduces verifiable loss by minimisation of nitrate displacement and through gas emissions. Reduction in N2 emissions Fertiliser N2 in kg/ha N Total Caused by fertiliser Without N.83 Urea 46% ALZON Reduction % 55 Source: Weber and Gutser 21, University Munich The losses due to denitrification amounted to 1-2kg/ ha of N and can be even higher in wet conditions.

ALZON 46 protects your plants and equipment ALZON 46 safe transportation and storage The high nutrient content guarantees numerous advantages for transport, handling and application: High nitrogen density Reduced packaging Less journeys Transport containers and areas must be clean and dry. rotect ALZON 46 from precipitation and moisture. Do not allow ALZON 46 to enter waste water systems, bodies of water, or ground water. Any type of heat source should only be permitted to be operated at a safe distance from Alzon 46. Keep the yard and roads clear. Scattered granules means danger of slipping. Avoid mixing and storing alongside other fertilisers. Ensure ALZON 46 is stored separately from crop protection products. To ensure first class quality it is best to cover the bulk granules with plastic film in your store. The doors should be kept closed if possible.

Use ALZON 46 without difficulty and achieve high profits

AN and the competitor inhibitor products were spread over 3 applications at GS 21 (5kg/ha) GS 31 (5kg/ha & GS 49 (4kg/ha). Alzon 46 was a single application 14kg/ ha at GS 21. Reducing applications by 2 the yield benefits were still.11mt/ha greater using Alzon 46. Huge savings on labour, cost, time, compaction and dramatically reduces your carbon footprint. ALZON 46 was applied with 4kg/ha less than AN, only 2 applications instead of 3 with AN but furthermore a yield benefit of.17t/ha. Significant savings even in a low rainfall year, the amount of losses through leaching are reduced securing a higher yield and a more environmental fertilisation at the same time.

Depending on the fertilisation system: Saving one application is worth a 5% saving in total fertiliser cost. Reducing work. Saving money. Increase flexibility in fertilisation. Achieve better yield results. ALZON 46 makes fertilisation less dependent on weather through its leaching protection. Applied earlier and in larger quantities, ALZON 46 remains in place during pre-summer drought, using the winter moisture in the root area, and is available at all times for the plants as required. However, if moisture is prevalent, the risk of nitrate loss is significantly reduced. Therefore, the highest yields and best qualities are achieved, both in areas with heavy moisture and dry locations, with a favourable nitrogen balance at the same time. In forward crops, ALZON 46 will reduce luxury uptake, reducing crop canopy. In backwards crops, ALZON 46 will provide early ammonium nutrition which the plant will easily uptake.
