3 Angus Barrett, founder of Angus Barrett Saddlery - Business in the raw Angus Barrett Saddlery has grown from a small box of tools to an industry-leading business. Angus has been doing leather work and selling his hand made goods since 1986 when he was just a boy. After many years working across Australia, on farms and cattle stations, in mines and drilling camps, Angus settled in Orange NSW with the plan to start his own manufacturing business. In 2000, Angus registered his business and started making his unique saddlery and leather goods on a larger scale. After undertaking further study and training in Europe and the USA, Angus now operates a successful Australian manufacturing business, with a flagship store in the CBD of Orange, a strong online ecommerce presence, and a mobile store that visits events all across Australia. Angus travels the world regularly researching and sourcing the best leather available and also produces award winning catalogues that are another part of his unique story. Hear from Angus on how he has developed a successful business, about his love and passion for leatherwork, and his raw and honest take on business that it aint for the faint-hearted.
