ADAPTS BRILLIANTLY ACROSS TWO SEASONS.
Amicide Advance 700 is a world first, patented product from Nufarm which delivers a stable and higher loaded product to control a wide range of broadleaf weeds for both in-crop and fallow situations. More than six years of laboratory, glass house and replicated field trial work went into creating this 700g/L 2,4-D dual salt amine formulation for the unique Australian market. It is a soluble liquid, Group I herbicide delivering the convenience of having both fallow and in-crop registrations in the one drum. Amicide Advance 700 has been designed, formulated and manufactured in Australia, for Australian conditions. This is important because our conditions are like no other in the world. FEATURES & BENEFITS OF AMICIDE ADVANCE 700 CONVERTING TO AMICIDE ADVANCE 700 FEATURE BENEFIT AMICIDE ADVANCE 700 (L/ha) AMICIDE 625 (L/ha) SURPASS 475 (L/ha) SURPASS 300 (L/ha) Unique, 700 g/l 2,4-D amine dual salt formulation Fallow and in-crop registrations Compatible with all Nufarm weedmaster formulations (DST, ARGO and DUO ) New Optical Spot Spray Technology (OSST), fleabane and spotspraying registrations Non-volatile when used according to the label Manufactured here in Australia Dual Salt Technology allows for higher loading, better compatibility and increased robustness Just the one product needed for use all year round Peace of mind knowing that you will achieve maximum compatibility and efficacy when mixing Use with confidence, knowing that this product has been trialled and tested to perform Where you put it is where it stays Supporting Australian industry
% visual control (final assessment) FIELD TESTING More than 80 replicated field trials have been performed with Amicide Advance 700. From de-suckering bananas to fallows, sugar, cereals and pasture, a whole range of use situations have been trialled. Key weeds have been trialled along with common use mixes (see Figure 1 and 2). Rigorous field testing ensures users can be confident that Amicide Advance 700 will work in tough Australian conditions. Source: Nufarm field trials, multiple sites, All 2,4-D amine formulations can potentially antagonise summer grass weed control. This antagonism is worse in stressed conditions on large weeds. Awnless barnyard grass and liverseed grass are two common grass weed species that often display this antagonism. A robust rate of glyphosate can help to overcome the antagonism. *Note that the ratio of glyphosate to 2,4-D amine is deliberately high in these trials. Not all weeds are 2,4-D susceptible, ie fleabane at advanced growth stages, which is why the level of control is not considerably higher at 1000gai/ha.
COMPATIBILITY Amicide Advance 700 is compatible with a wide range of herbicides, trace elements and Nufarm s cereal fungicide range. Refer to Nufarm s Cereals Segment Guide for more information. weedmaster Amicide Advance 700 has been formulated to be mixed with Nufarm s key weedmaster dual-salt formulations, including weedmaster ARGO, weedmaster DST and weedmaster DUO. MIXING PRODUCTS CORRECTLY With a trend towards higher product rates to control problem weeds in no-till situations, the correct mixing order and water rates are important to maintain physical compatibility: 1. 2/3 fill the tank and fully dissolve any WSG or WDG 2. Amicide Advance 700 can then be added with the spray solution under agitation 3. Top the tank up until it is nearly full 4. Add glyphosate products as directed on the label 5. Add adjuvants as directed on the label Refer to Nufarm s Multiple Tank Mix Solutions Guide for more information. CORRECT MIXING OF CRYSTALLINE AMMONIUM SULPHATE (CAMS) If using CAMS, which is a water soluble granule, in the spray solution, always dissolve fully prior to moving onto the next mixing step. Time to dissolve will vary according to the quality of CAMS, level of water in the tank, amount of agitation and water temperature. Work carried out in the laboratory at Nufarm shows that complete dissolution can vary between 5 to 9 minutes*, depending upon product quality (see Figure 3). 2,4-D amine which comes into direct contact with undissolved CAMS can dropout, forming an insoluble precipitate. For complete confidence, Nufarm s Liase can be used. Left: Amicide Advance L/ha + glyphosate 540 single salt potassium (K) 1.5L/ha. Right: Generic Amine L/ha + glyphosate 540 K 1.5L/ha. The above photo shows better compatibility of Amicide Advance 700 when compared with a competitor product. The tube on the left shows 1.2 L/ha of Amicide Advance 700 mixed with 1.5 L/ha of glyphosate 540 (single potassium salt) at 50L/ha water rate in 1,000ppm water hardness at room temperature 15 minutes after mixing. The tube on the right shows dropping out 15 minutes after mixing a generic 2,4-D amine at the same rate. Nufarm s Amicide Advance 700 is formulated to be mixed with glyphosate products. Single salt potassium (K) glyphosates can drop out in a high concentration scenario. Choose Nufarm s weedmaster dual salt glyphosate range as your reliable high performing tank mix partner.

A minimum water volume of 70 L/ha along with a jar test are recommended. Chelates and sulphates are not recommended. WHEAT APPLICATION TIMING Amicide Advance 700 can be safely applied to wheat after the double-ridge stage (GS15 GS16) and up until the start of booting. Timing of the double ridge phase will vary by variety and seasonal conditions. The safest strategy for application timing is to wait until first node stage (GS31). There is also a window where Amicide Advance 700 may be applied as a harvest aid or salvage spray after the dough stage (GS89). 6 DECISION SUPPORT TOOLS Amicide Advance 700 is a phenoxy herbicide and off-target movement can cause severe damage to susceptible crops such as cotton, grapes, tomatoes, oilseed crops and ornamentals. Correct application is extremely important to maximise efficacy and minimise drift. Four important tips to help minimise drift are: 1. Use a COARSE spray quality or greater 2. Make sure the wind is blowing away from susceptible areas 3. Minimise boom height 4. NEVER spray during a low-level temperature inversion Amicide Advance 700 is non-volatile when used in accordance with the label. Correct application is critical to ensure the product reaches its target. WIND SPEED Ensure that the wind speed is more than 3 km/h and less than 20 km/h as measured at the application site for ground application. The following tools are available for planning your pesticide application: With reliance of pesticides in modern farming systems, it is more important than ever to know the resistance status of your paddock. WeedLogic is a decision support system that helps users understand wild radish resistance, by seed testing and providing a strategy to manage resistant weeds. weedlogic.com.au Spraywise Decisions is an online weather forecasting site commissioned by Nufarm for planning your crop protection applications. Key application criteria are forecast for your property and provided in easy-to-read meteograms or spray planner, allowing you to choose the most appropriate application window. Spraywise Decisions is available at spraywisedecisions.com.au CottonMap is an industry initiative between Cotton Australia, GRDC, CRDC and Nufarm which has been designed to highlight the location of cotton fields. The website is available from 1 September to 30 April on an annual basis with the purpose of minimising off-target damage to cotton from downwind pesticide application, particularly during fallow spraying. cottonmap.com.au
Figure 4 Non-volatility of Amicide Advance 700 Figure 4: Amicide Advance 700 is non-volatile when used in accordance with the label. This image shows an application of Amicide Advance 700 in cotton, which is highly susceptible to all Group I herbicides. Source: Frank Taylor WATER QUALITY All 2,4-D amine formulations, including Amicide Advance 700, can be impacted by both hard water and water which is high in bicarbonates. When mixing Amicide Advance 700 in hard water (above 300 ppm), the use of Liase adjuvant is recommended to alleviate the effects of hard water. Bicarbonate levels of more than 300ppm may cause efficacy issues. The only way to alleviate water which is high in bicarbonates is to use an alternate water source. If one cannot be found, either maximise the Amicide Advance 700 rate for increased performance or look at changing to an ester-based product, such as Estercide Xtra 680, which is not impacted by water high in bicarbonates. NUFARM STAMP OF QUALITY Amicide Advance 700 is proudly manufactured in Australia. The Nufarm stamp of quality represents our long standing commitment to quality and our ongoing promise to help Australian growers grow a better tomorrow.
