1 Faculty of Engineering is one of the largest faculties at UPM with a student population of over 3000 owes as much to the excellence of its academic staff as to the facilities and infrastructures that are continuously made available. The eight academic departments housed within the faculty offer a similar number of Bachelor of Engineering degree programmers. The faculty is proud of the international character of its student population. Out of the 800 postgraduates, almost fifty percent are international students.

Her core expertise is in the downstream processing for recovery of biological products and bioreactor design. Currently, some of her research activities include the isolation and purification of bioactive proteins from complex homogenates, protein encapsulation into biodegradable nanoparticles, drug delivery and bioremediation. These wide topics reflect the central philosophy underlying her research work, which is the use of a multidisciplinary approach to improve the understanding of advanced manufacturing technologies for the biochemical process industry.
