2 Pharmacy Message From the Head of Study Program Pharmaceutical products are essential to support various human health and wellness needs. Pharmacy is the study program that heavily focuses on drug study, starting from its design, manufacturing, analyzing, economics, sustainability up to its effects on human body. Pharmacy study program aims to nurture students that have strong basis of knowledge about drugs and to implement the knowledge to various fields such as community, clinical, industry, academics, etc. Richard Sutejo, Ph. D. Head of Pharmacy Pharmacy at i3l employs multidisciplinal approach that allows the students to understand how the drugs can be conceptualized, designed, produced, and investigated in benchtobedside manner. We heavily put emphasis on multifaceted learning on drugs to create students with extensive insight on drugs, which paves pathways for various careers such as community pharmacists, industrial pharmacists, clinical pharmacists, research pharmacists, and many more. Overview Pharmacy is one of the most interesting and well known major in Indonesia, which focuses on medicines, covering from drug discovery, development, clinical trial, drug delivery in the patients, drug management and also patient counseling. Pharmacy is the bridge of knowledge between biomedical scientists and medical doctors, and highly relates to biomedical science, chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical engineering, social science and population health. Pharmacist is among of the most respected professions in the world, whether in the government institute, research institute, pharmaceutical industry as well as clinical pharmacy. Pharmacy study program in I3L is a world class pharmacy school which trains the students how to solve most of medical problems. Our main goal is to provide pharmacists who have strong background in the research and the clinical applications, realizing that Indonesia has been lacking of high quality research pharmacists. Hence, our program offered several elective courses in research pharmacy, industrial pharmacy and clinical pharmacy. We utilize the triplehelix concept (academia, business and government) approach that strategizes and implements the most relevant pharmaceutical research and development to the community.
3 STUDY PROGRAM AT a GLANCE Research 50% of our Pharmacy students are participating in various projects, scientific competitions, conferences and socialrelated activities.
