This enhancement delivers increased user productivity and the ability to support additional concurrent users. New Web life-cycle visual components for SmarTeam's Web interface and skins enhance the look and feel and contribute to usability. V5.19 introduces a new Web Form Designer, the tool for administrators/implementers to influence the look and feel for the Web profile card and queries. Accelerate performance and efficiency of remote CATIA data management ENOVIA SmarTeam CATIA Web Integration (CWI) is enhanced to allow CATIA users to remotely access CATIA data stored in ENOVIA SmarTeam. ENOVIA SmarTeam V5.19 supports access to data storage in vaults over an HTTPs protocol for better capacity and ability to support additional concurrent users. This extended deployment of SmarTeam systems enables organizations to collaborate faster and more efficiently, gaining better performance, and easier access to data which is stored across this extended deployment. Offering seamless management of CATIA data originated in different CATIA versions, ENOVIA SmarTeam V5.19 design collaboration incorporates CATIA data management across the supply chain, and allows suppliers to work with multiple OEMs, each using a different CATIA environment. The user roles describe the complete set of capabilities a role will need to cover their base scenarios. The main user roles consist of: Editor - The SmarTeam Editor manages, links, and releases technical documents in the context of the product with data integrity ensured. This role enables users outside of the engineering department to participate in engineering processes by interacting with productrelated data and contributing product-related content, such as requirement and specification documents. Designer - The SmarTeam Designer manages all activities performed by a design engineer in an immersive multi-cad, multi-data environment. Engineer - The SmarTeam Engineer manages engineering bill-of-material (E-BOM), manufacturing bill-of-material (M-BOM), item life cycle, engineering release, and change processes. Navigator - The SmarTeam Navigator enables non-engineers to intuitively access product information and join in business processes. What's new per product Editor Note: The SmarTeam - Web Editor product license was withdrawn in V5.18, and all SmarTeam - Web Editor functionalities were incorporated within the SmarTeam - Editor product license. In V5.19, the name SmarTeam - Web Editor has been retained in the SmarTeam interface; however, references in documentation have been changed to SmarTeam - Editor Web-based client. SmarTeam - Editor Windows client - The following enhancements are added in V5.19: Icon shown per file type - When working in the grid or tree view, SmarTeam supports the ability to see the icon based on the file type. Therefore, users can identify the object type based on class, as well as file type. Icon shown in lookup table - When working in the grid, SmarTeam supports the ability to see an icon based on the value in the lookup table. Silent installation is now available for this product (all roles) - The Windows Installer performs a command-line based installation without requiring any user interface dialogs. This process, called silent installation, enables an administrator to use a script to install a SmarTeam product/application automatically for a group of computers. Before V5.19, Silent installation was only possible for SmarTeam - Editor. From V5.19, the Windows Installer can be used to perform silent installations for many SmarTeam products/applications. Note: This product can be installed using the regular installation process or the silent installation process. SmarTeam - Editor - Includes an enhanced installation procedure according to role-based applications: Editor role - Manages, links, and releases technical documents in the context of the product, with data integrity ensured. Users outside of the engineering department can participate in engineering processes by interacting with product-related data and contributing product related content; for example, requirements, and specifications documents. Designer role - Manages design activities in a multi-cad, multi-data environment. The Designer role can efficiently create, edit, and annotate design and related documents, including Microsoft Office-type. Powerful searches, "where used" retrievals, and product life-cycle operations accelerate work and promote design reuse. Engineer role - Manages E-BOM, M-BOM, item life-cycle engineering release, and change processes. It enables users to manage, manipulate, track, and collaborate on items, product structure, and BOM throughout the product life cycle and across the extended enterprise and supply chain. Administrator - Manages Administrator activities. The Administrator role feature provides you with all the required admin tools. SmarTeam Editor Web-based client - The following enhancements have been added in V5.19: Lifecycle Visual Component embedded in Web - The new Lifecycle Visual Component has been embedded in the Web.
