Which data is available for crime or road safety? To what extent are funds currently being used? Challenges and Objectives Display combined financial and key data (for example, case numbers) for effective administrative control Establish a central, standardized reporting platform for all departments and authorities within the regional government authority Abolish redundant data entries and duplicate records Improve data quality with a Single Source of Truth We needed a homogeneous technical platform that could be used by all the relevant departments and authorities. The previous key financial figures also needed to be supplemented with specific data so that better controlling data could be generated. 23 Obama for America Campaign : Predictive Analytics Helps Drive a Smarter Campaign What the campaign team wanted use data and analytics to make better decisions and run the effort as efficiently and productively as possible measure every single thing in this campaign use all the data available to interact with their supporters from fundraising to volunteer recruitment in a more effective and targeted manner The campaign team recognized digital channels - like , their website and social media - were going to be pivotal in the OfA 2012 campaign - but needed the agility and speed to scale to the challenge of online, where data sets are huge and changing all the time Results The timely and accurate insights provided by <SAP> led to more effective and quicker targeting and in the end, more votes Fundraising campaigns optimized by predictive models resulted in higher contributions / assisted by predictive models to improve frequency and timing to drive higher giving. Predictive insights identified and explained segments of voters who were persuadable. Inviting supporters to log into the Obama campaign with their Facebook accounts allowed OFA to personalize communications and outreach which drove individuals to volunteer, register, or turn out the vote.
