The product range covers the entire value chain from individual components to complex lighting systems. Our customer applies the roadmapping method for cross-divisional technology planning. Our client was looking for a collaborative, intuitive and flexible online tool to identify inputs for the innovation management process at an early stage, to reveal synergies between the business units and to find possible growth path. ITONICS Roadmap was selected as THE strategic planning platform for the overall product, technology and resource management. Future opportunities for the whole company can be identified and directly addressed by combining resources, technologies, products and markets. Our customer uses these insights in order to conduct, prioritize and coordinate all R&D activities. Subsequently, in further workshops the requirements for processes, entities and attributes have been specified and the technical framework has been defined (hosting, integration, single sign-on, style guide etc.). Afterwards, the requirements were broken down in detail and implemented accordingly using methods of agile software development. After successful internal testing phase, ITONICS Roadmap was introduced as a pilot project in one of the business units. Subsequently, the solution was rolled out across the whole group.
