2 The challenge From its more than 700 roaming partners, JT receives a massive volume of data every month. JT engineers previously spent valuable time manually synchronising, updating and maintaining the database system. In addition to filtering large quantities of data, JT engineers were spending time rectifying quality variations within the received IR.21 updates. In order to optimize workflows, reduce backlogs and to free time to focus on customers, JT was seeking automation. Employers should be able to put all their efforts into the most essential fields of work and not spend time on valuable but simple and extensive tasks. That s when a partnership with Roamsys enters the stage. The solution When JT learned that Roamsys, the official IR.21 solution provider to the GSM Association, developed a tool for MNOs and service providers to improve the whole network configuration process, they were eager to run a trial. Just a few days into it, JT employers started to experience the multiple beneficial functions of the tool. IREG Toolbox strengthens the core network to combat fraud, generates new revenues, saves costs and further enhances the roaming experience of the end customers all this in a fraction of the time compared to manual processes and with much better quality.

4 The benefits Elimination of backlogs in network updates: There s always a challenge more urgent than keeping your database updated. Yet there aren t many of the same importance. IREG Toolbox and the included Roamsys data capturing service automatically standardize and update incoming IR.21 and IR.85 documents from GSMA InfoCentre in order to keep the system up to date at any time. Time savings for engineers: IREG Toolbox displays changes in technical After the daily usage of IREG Toolbox for over 18 months, Cara Murphy, Head of Roaming at JT sums up the benefits the tool has brought to JT: roaming documents right away, delivering strong filter functions in order to keep focus on those changes that matter for JT s engineers. They thereby no longer have to be involved with simple but time-consuming issues, instead they can focus on tasks that really deserve their attention. Reduction of misconfigurations: Misconfigurations at JT were rare, but with IREG Toolbox, misconfigurations in JT s network were almost fully eradicated. We have freed our engineers from time-consuming tasks related to IR.21 data management and maintenance while at the same time improving our network configurations.
