2 Overview codebeamer ALM s Software functionality is integrated with the Requirements Management and QA & Test Management features to ensure end-to-end coverage of the entire software development lifecycle. codebeamer ALM efficiently supports all development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid solutions). Its Software functionality enables development teams to work with major version control systems such as Git, SVN and Mercurial. codebeamer contains an Agile layer to provide Agile/Scrum-based teams with Agile planning and management functionality in order to help them efficiently manage Agile release trains, and is also the first proven implementation of the Scaled Agile Framework. Via a dedicated, preconfigured SAFe template, codebeamer supports the structured scaling of Agile in large organizations. The Kanban board provides all team members with a quick overview of tasks and overall release/sprint status. codebeamer s baselining (versioning) feature ensures full traceability on all changes throughout the development lifecycle. Via integration with widely used tools (REST API, bidirectional data sync with JIRA, MS Office round-trip exportimport, IBM DOORS, etc), codebeamer greatly supports collaboration and data consistency across teams.

3 Main Features User Stories, Requirements, and Tasks Management User stories, requirements and tasks may be defined manually via a WYSIWYG editor or Wiki in a collaborative manner, generated from user stories, imported from MS Office solutions and in ReqIF format, or synched with JIRA via codebeamer s bidirectional JIRA integration. Relationships (dependencies) and changes of user stories, requirements and tasks can also be easily tracked and managed. UML diagrams and requirements may be imported from Enterprise Architect and MATLAB Simulink. Change and Configuration Management Unlike many of its competitors, codebeamer uses a single repository to store all your artifacts. This ensures solid change management and data consistency across all features. Changes in requirements, their impact analysis, and implementation (code) are ensured through fully customizable pre-configured workflows. 4 Agile Planning Board: Sprint, Release and Delivery Management codebeamer s Planning Board facilitates the definition of releases (milestones, versions) and sprints with an easy to use drag-and-drop interface. The board contains various filtering options to help team members and team leaders (Scrum Masters) access all relevant information with just a few clicks. While supporting product, project and multiproject releases, codebeamer s release management functionality also gives you an overview on the resources of the release, and provides a burndown chart for each project. Source Code Management codebeamer comes integrated with version control systems Git, Subversion, Mercurial, CVS and Plastic SCM, allowing you to set up and manage repositories, manage commits, and merge codes.
