9 An easier way to access an RPAS 2 1. Log in once and access all of your solutions and domains 1 2. When a User selects a step on the task flow, RPAS will use the workbook assigned to that task. 3. (Classic vs. Fusion) A single log-in gives the user access to all of their RPAS Solutions and Categories Users will be able to change desktops/laptops/tablets (with access to your network) Planners no longer need to keep track of which RPAS local domains, workbook names, planning process names etc. Task Flow vs. Tabs Customers find the Task Flow easier to use and to Train A more contemporary interface with images, drag and drop and expanded charting/graphing The Classic Client connects directly to the RPAS Domain while the Fusion Client connects to the RPAS Domain via a Weblogic based Web Application Server Of the two Clients, only the Fusion Client has received new functionality since RPAS Version New/Updated GA RPAS solutions (Category Management and Assortment Planning 14.1/15.0) may work on the Fusion Client only(functionality would need to be deactivated in the configuration layer) Copyright 2014 Oracle and/or its affiliates. 12 If you are thinking about upgrading to the Fusion Client. Both Clients.. Point to the same RPAS Database, Rules, Worksheets and Data Use the same solution ** that the Classic Client uses.you do not need to re-implement the RPAS DB or port over data etc. Complete the calculations etc. on the RPAS DB Server and not on end-user laptops The RPAS Database and Calculation Engine will perform with the same speed for both the Classic and Fusion Clients **The Fusion Client requires extra configuration for the task flow (adjustment to your existing configuration) Copyright 2014 Oracle and/or its affiliates. 17 New and Enhanced Features 14.1 Release (December 2014) Near Real Time Integration Exchange information in near real time throughout the day between RPAS Solutions and with non-rpas solutions Visual Planning Images as hierarchy labels (image of the style or style-color, fabric swatches etc.) Images as dimension attributes on the hierarchy panes Images within the planning grid (as measures) Configurable image pop-up window (showing multiple images, attributes and plan data) Image based, time-phased view of the assortment with Alerts (in the Assortment Planning template) Chart/Graph Enhancements A new chart type Tree Map (some may know this as a heat map) Boolean measures now can be graphed Include a line in charts/graphs that divides history from today/future Usability Improvements A new Master-Detail option uses a selected intersection on sheet 1 to query/show data in sheet 2 Position filtering was enhanced to make it easier to use To select or de-select a Boolean measure, only a single click is required now Move your cursor over read-only cells without exiting edit mode Arrow Keys now can be used for navigation within the pivot table (when pressing Ctrl) BI Solution Plug-In Real-time, contextual calls to OBIEE reports from within the Fusion Client Copyright 2014 Oracle and/or its affiliates. Enabled via the Hybrid Storage Architecture (HSA) component of the 14.1 RPAS Platform Enables near real-time data exchange (into and out of the RPAS Platform) throughout the day without DB locks Data can be exchanged between: RPAS Solutions on separate RPAS domains (MFP and Assortment Planning or Category Management etc.) RPAS and RMS/RPM: (COE to RPM and back etc., and yes it can work with SAP too) RPAS and Reporting/BI solutions (MFP or AP etc. and your reporting solution of choice) Copyright 2014 Oracle and/or its affiliates. 20 Real-Time Contextual Reporting Embedded in a Workbook Key Details: Be able to view externally created reports from within the RPAS Fusion Client Two steps: 1.Highlight the cell(s) you want to use to build the report 2.Choose one of the reports available on the right click menu s Plugins option. You can drill down (if enabled in the report), save the report to the workbook or switch to other reports on list Reports must first be designed in the reporting solution, then enabled in an internal RPAS folder.
