2 Solution overview Infor CloudSuite Business is a highly scalable solution that delivers end-to-end functionality for a diverse range of businesses around the world. The solution is highly suited for service organizations in the financial, retail, professional, non-profit, and general business markets. Infor CloudSuite Business goes beyond the capabilities of a typical financial management solution, by also delivering robust capabilities for customer management, procurement, and inventory management. For many countries, the standard core Infor CloudSuite Business product satisfies those requirements. We continue to make significant development investments in our core business solution by embracing the best software technology available. It s the combination of our customers input and this technology that allow us to create the business solutions you need. Some examples of features that have been added in the recent, version 9.x release include: Enhanced UI Infor s Hook & Loop team spent many hours interviewing and interacting with customers to develop a more modern and cleaner user interface (UI). These efforts focused on reducing the number of forms you need to open to get to the details that you often need. You ll see these changes on all the master forms (Items, Vendors, and Customers) and orders forms (Customer, Purchase, Estimates, Jobs, Transfers, and Service). Themes As part of the UI enhancements, we re also introducing themes. We re providing the option of two themes out of the box, as well as giving users the ability to create their own themes for the UI. Report builder The Mongoose framework has been enhanced so that you can now create and modify reports within a single toolset. With the addition of the FlexField object, you can define regions on a form so that you can control what data belongs in that region, as well as the formatting within that region. This toolset enhancement means that both cloud-based and on-premise customers can now meet their development needs with just one development toolset. Web browser equivalency Previously, the Mongoose form editing tool could only be used with the smart client. Now many of the tool s activities can be used directly from a browser. AWS S3 bucket Deploying in the cloud can result in restrictions to accessing outside data, such as EDI or banking files that are received from or sent to external organizations. This issue has been eliminated with Infor CloudSuite Business s support of AWS S3 bucket integration and the solution s ability to define logical folders to segregate the different types of data you may receive or send. Celergo Payroll integration To support the needs of international customers, we now support integration to Celergo Payroll Solutions. Celergo has solutions for over 140 countries. 4 Payroll generation for services Service module users can now generate payroll transactions based on hours reported by service technicians through the service module. Start forms With start forms, each of your users or a group of users can create personalized start pages that can be tailored for each individual role in the company. This includes access to over 200 built-in KPIs. Enhanced multi-currency support Gain flexibility with multinational customers and vendors by being able to define multiple currencies for them, and then use those currencies on customer orders and purchase orders throughout the lifecycle of the process. Process builder The process builder includes a set of tools that allows you to standardize many of your day-today processes, such as on-boarding a new employee. You can identify the tasks that are required to complete the process, assign responsibilities, and track progress all from one place. Financial set of books (FSB) This feature allows a new ledger to be created that can contain any combination of accounts, currencies, and calendars. It s used for governmental or internal company reporting when a ledger other than the general ledger is required. Ledger analysis dimensions You can link other tables to the ledgers, so that you can analyze the ledger by customer, vendor, item, or other data elements. This includes constants and user-defined formulas, and can be exported to Microsoft Excel, Infor BI, and other tools. Electronic funds transfer (EFT) Infor CloudSuite Business supports NACHA CCD and SEPA formatted bank files out of the box. Additional file types can be used, but require additional mapping. Accounts receivable deductions/chargebacks This feature provides a mechanism to approve/disapprove customer payment adjustments and document those transactions. AR/AP offset When a customer is also a vendor, or vice versa, you can link the two records together and enter offsetting voucher and invoice amounts to provide a net balance between the two. Chinese Golden Tax compliance The Country Pack for China includes a direct interface for creating VAT invoices through China s Golden Tax System. Price promotions and rebates Promotional pricing enhancements allow you to define item amounts and quantities to be discounted for an item, or offered as a free item based on item multiples (such as buy one, get one free; or buy three, get one). Rebates can be earned and tracked as deferred revenue until a credit memo is issued to apply the rebate to the customer account. Surcharges Companies that deal in metals and other frequently surcharged materials can apply surcharges to customers based on published exchange rates and the content of the surcharged item within a finished good. This functionality also has been added to the purchasing side of the application when buying materials with surcharges. A re-price function has been added to update the surcharges based on the current market prices. Project tracking You can identify projects that need to be fully tracked based on the project type. When tracked, changes can only be made through a project change order, and various reports and inquiries can show both old and new values. Regulatory compliance items The item master allows you to identify a low-level component as compliant or not-compliant to any regulatory requirement that you identify. You can then execute a utility that will update the compliance settings for manufactured parts that use that component item in its construction. FedRamp compliance Features have been added to Infor CloudSuite Business to meet security requirements for FedRamp compliance, including the ability to lock a user s computer after a set amount of inactivity. Companies must meet FedRamp standards to do business with the US federal government. Document lifecycle Armed with a single piece of information, such as a customer order, you can see the full lifecycle of a specific document. You can look back at the estimate, forward it to production jobs, or view shipments, invoices, and RMAs. Similarly, you can display the same chain of events for purchasing. Partial depreciation You can set depreciation rates to change on a calendar year or fiscal year. Additionally, you can start depreciation on a specific date or allow users to identify a number of units to depreciate. 4 Infor statement of direction

5 Optional Modules recently added Employee self-service This feature provides a series of web forms that allow users to manage their benefits, such as time-off requests and other HR-related information. This helps free up HR staff members to become more strategic to the organization. The future of Infor CloudSuite Business Our founding vision is to help companies retain their competitive advantage by embracing the speed of technology. Our Infor CloudSuite Business design and development teams is doing this with our next release by leveraging the power of Mongoose. This will allow us to include the following enhancements: Improve dunning letter capabilities to support multiple levels of letters and fees associated with those levels. The benefits of Infor CloudSuite Business, version 9.x Productivity Infor CloudSuite Business continues to place key decisionmaking information at your fingertips in a pleasing and easy-to-understand format. This is critical when communicating with a customer on the status of an order or a supplier on delivery of material. Here are some examples of Infor CloudSuite Business s features: Improved user experience In a product with the depth and breadth of Infor CloudSuite Business, key master forms such as Item, Customer, and Vendor have many data elements that must be maintained. Traditionally, navigating this data meant grouping data elements into multiple forms that required multiple clicks. Working from a user-centric focus, the Hook & Loop team designed forms that bring all of this data into an easy-to-use, unified design. Integrate with Infor Rhythm. Support reverse VAT requirements. Add a GL account re-class utility. Improve lot-tracking capabilities to provide status on a lot, so that you can put a lot on hold without moving it to a different storeroom and store the revision level for the lot in the lot properties. Add budgeting and planning to the Excel add-in. Support compliance changes for US GAAP revenue recognition rules going into effect January 1, Support bank reconciliation automatic matching allowance. Reporting Our customers have built considerable experience creating and modifying forms with the Mongoose toolset. This same experience can now be leveraged to create reports. We have enhanced the Mongoose toolset to allow users to define multiple regions within a report and format the data as needed within that region. Infor statement of direction 5

6 Solution core The core business system functionality of Infor CloudSuite Business will continue to keep pace with customer and market demand. This is where the voice of the customer has a direct impact on product direction. Infor User Group Communities, local user groups, and the Infor Xtreme support system are major contributors to this process. In addition to the new report writing tool, we ve expanded the functionality of the DataView tools and now include them in the core suite. DataViews free your IT staff from having to create multiple formats of the same data. Users can format the data as they need it, and then export it to a PDF or Excel document. In addition to numerous, focused business function enhancements coming from the user community, the following major components are planned for Infor CloudSuite Business: Continued advancements in user-centric design We will continue to work with the Hook & Loop team to refine the user experience, such as reducing keystrokes and making the on-boarding of new users seamless. We ll continue transform the UI so that it more closely matches the consumer-like user experiences that employees use outside of the work environment. Reduce time to implement We re building tools for cloud implementations that will help guide you in setting up your system and track your progress in completing those tasks. Infor OS technology stack adoption This cutting-edge technology includes access to tools for collaborating across the organization, as well as user- and group-based homepages based on roles in the organization. The OS technology stack is included with any cloud subscription. It s also included when you upgrade to 9.01 as a limited-use license, with the option to convert to full-use licenses, if needed. Expand localization capabilities In addition to adopting Infor Local.ly components (see the Technology and framework section), we re also reviewing our localization capabilities and bringing common requirements into the core application. We re also expanding into additional countries. Technology and framework Infor continues to embrace the latest technologies available to enhance your business solution user experience. With Mongoose you get: Continued Infor ION enablement Infor ION is our integration platform. As customers identify logical combinations of applications, we ll build out these integrations through Infor ION. We ll continue to add additional data to BODS for our existing integrations, and build out new BODS for applications such as Infor Document Management. 6 Infor statement of direction

7 Infor Local.ly adoption This application is a global effort by Infor to develop reporting localizations that can be leveraged by all Infor applications. Currently, every ERP develops its own statutory reports for every country. This is costly and does not result in timely responses to changing statutory requirements. Adopting Infor Local.ly will allow Infor CloudSuite Business to be more up-to-date and proactive to statutory requirements. Operating environment compatibility Infor CloudSuite Business will continue to maintain compatibility with the latest operating environments and databases. Cloud-first delivery As our customers transition to the cloud, our methodology for delivering our releases must also change. Currently, we develop a set of features with a target release date, and we then build and execute accordingly. When the features are complete, we provide the update to our on-premise customers for them to install when it is convenient for them. For cloud customers, we place the new version in the cloud and migrate customers accordingly to the new version. With a cloudfirst delivery, we ll continuously add new features to the current version and control those changes with settings that you can turn on when you want to take advantage of the new features.
