4 SUMMARY The BRIC House Artist Studio is a flexible space ideal for creating, rehearsing and performing across multiple disciplines. The Studio is transformable from a white walled space awash with light from three windows in the western facade, to a performance space with theatrical black curtains on all sides. SEATING The seating is flexible, and can accommodate up to 70 seated audience members. The chairs can be set up in multiple configurations. [Potential layouts provided as external addendum] STAGING There are (12) 3 x 8 platforms that are available for staging or audience risers. Leg kits are available for 8 & 16. DECKING The Artist Studio floor is fully sprung plywood, finished with 1/4 Masonite & painted black. It is not permitted to fasten into the floor without prior approval by the Production Manager. SOFT GOODS The Studio is outfitted with a traveler track around the perimeter, with black velour curtain panels which can be used to blackout the space. NB: Exits & exit signage must not be obstructed. Please discuss any extraordinary loads with the Production Manager. RIGGING The pipe grid is designed for lighting fixtures and light rigging. Please discuss all rigging needs with the Production Manager. LIGHTING The Artist Studio space does not have a permanent repertory lighting plan hung in the space. The lighting inventory allocated to the venue may be hung to suit each production s needs. BRIC can accomplish the installation, focus, and removal of a lighting plan at the cost of each production. Fluorescent work lights are switchable for nonshow conditions. GRID The grid is a 1 ½ sch40 fixed pipe grid. Trim 10 9 (See attached light plot for grid layout). POWER The Studio Space has (1) 200amp 3-phase company switch. The space is also populated with 20amp Edison outlets for direct/constant power. BOOTH / CONTROL There is a wall rack that serves as the main interface for the lighting and sound control. Tech/booth table is available. COM Communications may be accessible based on availability. 5 VIDEO There are a few video projectors shared between the BRIC house venues. Please discuss video/projection needs with the Production Manager. The Studio is wired for connectivity with the main control room, allowing for live capture as well as distribution. Matrixing with the other 1 st floor BRIC spaces is possible with coordination with BRIC s Community Media Department. Storage space is limited please discuss all storage needs with the Production Manager prior to your arrival. GREEN/DRESSING ROOMS Located on the lower level, one large flexible space (using curtains on tracks to divide based on need) with (1) star dressing room, (2) W/C, (2) showers, (1) washer/dryer and (12) makeup stations. PIANO/BACKLINE In house upright is available with prior arrangements. Discuss tuning needs with Production Manager. Please contact Production Manager for list of available backline. ADDITIONAL TECH - Please discuss project / performance needs above and beyond the scope of this rider with the Technical Director at least 1 month prior to your arrival.
