5 Look to the future Ecoplus 3 is the third evolution of our Ecoplus range since its launch in 1995 taking its thermal performance to a new level, keeping Ecoplus at the cutting edge of sustainable window design. Ecoplus 3 aims to meet the energy efficiency requirements needed for 2050 and beyond offering a beautiful solution for building and retrofitting low energy homes.

9 ...naturally Timber treatment Pioneered by our company in 1995, the pine Ecoplus 3 range is treated with inorganic boron-based mineral salts. As well as being highly effective against blue stain, rot and mildew, borates are widely recognised as the safest and most environmentally benign treatment available. Natural timber finishes Ecoplus 3 is then finished with OSMO natural plant based finishes. OSMO finishes are so safe they have been deemed safe enough to use on children s toys (safety standard EN 71). The finishes rely on the natural ability of certain plant oils to penetrate deeply into and bond with the timber surface, giving exceptional durability. Plant oil-based finishes make maintenance and repainting of Ecoplus 3 incredibly easy as there is no peeling, cracking or blistering. Ecoplus 3 can be easily touched up by applying an extra coat, without the need for sanding and laborious preparation.
