4 Remediation of a brownfield site that required a rigorous testing programme to ensure that the site complies with a complex and technical remediation strategy. The site had previously been home to a glass works, a pottery works and an ice factory, therefore input from specialist archaeological team was required to uncover structures dating back to 19 th century. Working closely with consultants Amec and Developer Carillion Igloo we have followed the remediation strategy, which included a site turnover and re-compaction of existing ground to provide a site suitable for the future development of 76 low energy sustainable.
