Our fabric system utilizes unplasticized polyvinyl chloride tracks as the backbone of the fabric panels. The tracks hold the fabric and the sound absorbing substrate (such as high-density fibreglass or mineral wool) in place. Many acoustic panel designs and patterns can be achieved with FABRIX. The tracks can be curved and cut to size to work with walls, ceilings, and pillars. 3D shapes and patterns can also be implemented with our fabric system. FABRIX is tested to be eco-friendly and suitable for most building fire code. 1

4 B) Installation INSTALLATION: FABRIX 1. Mark out placement of acoustic panels, and take into consideration positions for M&E. 2. Cut tracks to size according to marked out panel positions. 3. Install tracks with construction adhesive, and screws or nails. 4. Install acoustic substrate as infill. 5. Cut fabric to panel size with 25 mm excess on each side. 6. Tuck fabric into jaws of track ensuring surface is taut and even. TOP LOAD (LOW LEG) R R TOP LOAD (TAPERED) R R A) Preparation 1. Calculate amount of tracks required. 2. Use Top Load (Low Leg) for perimeter tracks and Top Load (Tapered) for middle tracks. 3. Place of installation must be dry. 4. Humidity level should be kept between 40% to 60%. 5. 5 TIMBERIX WOODEN GROOVED PANEL Pattern 13-3 Pattern 14-2 Pattern 28-4 TIMBERIX wooden grooved panels reduce echoes by trapping and diffracting sound in the grooves and perforation found on the surface. The sound that passes through the perforation is further absorbed by an acoustic substrate such as fibreglass or mineral wool, which reduces reverberation in the room. Smaller grooves are better at attenuating high frequency sounds, whereas larger grooves are better at controlling low frequency sounds. Our wooden grooved acoustic panel is made up of a series of slats and grooves. Each panel has a machined tongue and groove joint for a seamless joinery. TIMBERIX wooden grooved panels come in 4 different patterns: 13-3, 14-2, 28-4, The first number refers to the slat size (mm) and and second number refers to the groove size (mm). The surface comes in 4 types of finishing: paint, melamine, PP, and veneer. 6 INSTALLATION: TIMBERIX WOODEN GROOVED PANEL B) Installation 1. Mark out placement of TIMBERIX panels, and take into account M&E positions. 2. Cut panels to size according to final positions. 3. Decide on type of installation system to use. 4. Install acoustic substrate of choice. 5. Join TIMBERIX wooden grooved panels from top-to-bottom, and left-to-right. 6. For wood laminate and veneer finishes, ensure that wooden grooved panels are installed with matching grain directions. 7. Clean surface of the TIMBERIX panels with compressed air and gently wipe with dry cloth. C) Installation System 1. Steel keel system 2. Wooden batten system A) Preparation 1. Place of installation must be dry, with temperature no less than 10 degrees Celsius. 2. Humidity level should be kept between 40% to 60%. 3. TIMBERIX panels must be placed on site for at least 48 hours in order to adapt to the environmental conditions. 4. The sound that passes through the perforation is further absorbed by an acoustic substrate such as fibreglass or mineral wool, which reduces reverberation in the room. The perforation comes in many sizes ranging from 1mm to 25mm. Smaller holes are better at attenuating low frequency sounds, whereas larger holes are better at reducing high frequency sounds. Our wooden perforated acoustic panel is made up of a series of perforations. Each panel has a machined groove joint for either a seamless or gap joinery. TIMBERIX wooden grooved panels come in 8 standard patterns: E4/4/1, E8/8/1, E16/16/3, E16/16/6, E32/32/6, V16/16/6, V32/32/6, and V32/32/8. The first alphabet refers to the hole arrangement (E is linear and V is staggered), the second pair of numbers refer to the distance between the two holes, and the last number refers to the hole diameter. 9 WOOLYX WOOLYX wood wool panels are made from recyclable wood fibres, cement, and water. It is environmentally friendly and formaldehyde free. The wood wool panels absorb sounds and gives aesthetics and environmental friendliness in an acoustic environment. Specifications: 1. Material: Recyclable wood fibres in cement matrix 2. 10 POLYX POLYX Polyester Board is made by a process of tumbling, needle-punching, and baking low and high melting-point polyester fibres. The high-density fibrous network absorbs sounds and reduces reverberation. POLYX Polyester Felt is made with only high melting-point polyester fibres, which gives a softer touch and a vibrant colour. 13 SOUNDPROOFING High-density fibreglass wool absorbs noises through particle velocity attenuation. The sound waves are converted to heat energy when they pass through the microfibres of the glass wool substrate. Fibreglass wool is made from melting glass at a high temperature and spinning the molten glass at a high speed to form glass fibres. The process is similar to how cotton candy is made. Soundproofing or technically, sound isolation, can be achieved by decoupling structures, dampening vibrations, and adding mass. A RWAR Room Within A Room construction is the best method to isolate any sounds. Acoustic glue dampens vibration due to the viscoelastic nature of the glue. The compound s unique properties act as a damping material to dissipate the vibrations caused by sound waves as they travel through ceilings, walls and floors.
