Terracon Consultants, Inc., which represents the best value to the District. The evaluation committee further recommends utilizing the Pool to award contracts for: Project 1: Terracon Consultants, Inc. for an estimated amount of $16,320, and Project 2: Terracon Consultants, Inc. for an estimated amount of $63,120. Purchase orders will be processed on an "as needed" basis. The Pool will be utilized to award future contracts under this RFQ. Contract awards will be presented to the Board of Trustees for approval as needed. In effect for a period of one year beginning June 25, 2014 and ending June 24, 2015 with the option to renew for a second and third (final) year. District expenditures in FY 2013 were $126,775. Estimated expenditures for one year are $79,440. Purpose: To comply with procurement requirements to purchase professional environmental consulting engineering services. This RFQ will establish a pool of vendors that the District may utilize in awarding services for future projects. Funding is available in the expenditure account code XXX-81-6XX9-XX-1XX-4-99-XXX. 2

We are pleased to submit the following proposal based on our meeting on June 18, PROJECT INFORMATION The project will include demolition of several old facilities and construct new competition gymnasium, new field house, converting existing old gym to renovated band hall and orchestra facility, new football and soccer field and associated parking lot improvements. SCOPE OF WORK Geotechnical Services We propose an exploration and evaluation consisting of the following items: Several geotechnical bores within the proposed improvement area. Laboratory testing to include, as they are appropriate to the soil conditions, Atterberg Limits tests which are indicators of soil expansiveness and soil behavior when remolded, approximate strength tests based on automatic standard penetration tests, natural moisture content determinations, clay content and grain size distributions tests. Review of published geologic and soil information for the site area. Lamar Middle School Geotechnical & CoMET Services June 18, 2014 Page 2 of 3 SCOPE OF WORK Construction Materials Engineering and Testing Howland / RKI is proposing CoMET services based on LISD Construction Scope of Work for Demolition and Program Improvements for Old Lamar Middle School property. Testing to generally include the following: Soil Compaction Testing; Concrete Compressive Testing; Asphalt Quality Testing; Foundation Observations; Steel Inspection Services; Based on our understanding, bi-weekly meetings will be held during the construction phase of the project and will require our firm to be present for any questions or comments. The anticipated construction schedule is 12 to 14 months. FEES Geotechnical Services Based upon the scope of work outlined above, we propose to complete the scope of work outlined above for a total fee at 0.25% (Not-To-Exceed $49,500) of total construction cost estimated at $19,800,000.
