PRODUCT INFORMATION 1. Interlocking Block Pavement Innovative Paver System Paving block with mechanical locking and locating device which prevents uneven settlement, rotation and creeping of pavers. 2. Permanent Reflective Markings for block pavements Reflective Pavers Option for permanent reflective paver markings for road and other directional signs available in desired colours. 3. Block Pavement Sealant APC Paveseel Sealant to prevent erosion of jointing sand and ingress of fuel and water to the base course.
1 PRODUCT INFORMATION 2 OFFERED SOLUTIONS 3 AVAILABLE VARIATIONS 4 PRODUCT APPLICATIONS 5 TESTIMONIES 6 TECHNICAL DETAILS
OFFERED SOLUTIONS High ambient temperature causes bituminous surfaces to lose its stiffness. Potholes and alligator cracks are a common occurrence. Asphalt Road J8 PaveWorks can withstand high ambient temperatures in excess of 300 Celsius. The stiffness decreases as the loading increases I.e. the slower the vehicle the lower the strength - low compressive strength. Fuel or oil spills would slowly dissolve the bituminous binder, making it more susceptible to wear and tear. Can withstand heavy trafficking and is suitable for airport, port and road pavements high compressive strength. High resistance to fuel and oil spills. Constant dampness and rain would also lower the life span of the bituminous surfaces. Repairs cannot be undertaken effectively for small areas and often the repaired surface tends to break up easily. Dampness and flooding would not affect the performance and/or life span of the pavers. Ease of repairs and re-instatement without leaving unsightly scars. Road closure for long period of time and heavy equipment is required. No heavy equipment is needed for repairs and could be opened to traffic immediately after repairs. Frequent re-surfacing entails high maintenance cost. Long life-span (long-term cost savings) and reduced maintenance cost. Mixing and using asphalt pollutes the environment as it releases toxic gases. Eco-friendly product as no toxic gases is emitted during its manufacturing process and use.
OFFERED SOLUTIONS Provision for thermal expansion and contraction must be provided. Concrete Road No requirement for thermal expansion and contraction joints. These expansion and contraction joints are the inherent weakness and cracking usually manifests itself across the corners and joints. High wear rate causing dusty environment. Interlocking pavers have load spreading abilities and act as a semi-rigid pavement i.e. not flexible and neither rigid. Long life span and high abrasion resistance ecofriendly solution. Difficult and costly to maintain and repair. Ease of repairs and maintenance. May be slippery when wet as surfaces polishes with wear. Good slip and skid resistance. Requires long curing period before pavement could be trafficked. Immediate use after construction no curing period required.
OFFERED SOLUTIONS Standard paving blocks are prone to creeping, rotation, corner spalling and cracking. Ordinary Paving Block Road Mechanical locking and locating device prevents creeping, rotation and corner spalling of J8 PaveWorks. Erosion of jointing sand or wide gaps in between pavers could cause pavement failure. The gaps in between the pavers are dictated by its locking and locating system providing a uniform spacing. Easily stained and prone to algae growth. Not easily stained and prevents algae growth. Surfaces tend to degrade over a period of time exposing granite chips used in its manufacture. High surface abrasive resistance. This weak surface layer also affect the long term aesthetic appearance of the pavers as the colours tend to fade. Aesthetically pleasing as the colour would not fade.
OFFERED SOLUTIONS 1. J8 PaveWorks are versatile and could be used for numerous applications: Aircraft pavements Port pavements Road pavements Permeable pavements 2. Increased safety due to: Improved visibility. Good skid and slip resistance. 3. Environmentally friendly Prevents contribution to air, water and land pollution. Permanent colours and road markings reduces pollution. Reduces heat in comparison to asphaltic and concrete surfaces. Can be recycled.
