Thanks to such features as low-voc water-based adhesives and low-formaldehyde worksurface backers, Abound has earned SCS Indoor Advantage certification. Abound earned this certification by complying with specific requirements, including the indoor furniture emission criteria of BIFMA X-7.1, and therefore the criteria for LEED EQ 4.5. Material differences. Abound is available with a variety of recycled and recyclable fabrics, including Eco Intelligent selections like Asana. Eco Intelligent fabrics are certified MBDC Cradle to Cradle Gold, which means they are designed to be perpetually recycled in a closed loop system, maintaining product value through an unlimited number of life cycles. Low-formaldehyde backer paper on worksurfaces helps improve office air quality. Reduce, reuse, recycle. Abound customers can choose our bulk packing option to reduce the amount of packing material delivered to their sites. This consumes fewer raw materials and decreases the amount of shipping material to be recycled or sent to landfills. We reuse excess paint to coat non-visible Abound surfaces. We recycle fabric scraps from the Abound manufacturing process, turning them over to a company that shreds it for use in shoddy a fibrous material used in trunk liners by the auto industry. And the particleboard used in Abound is made of 100% recycled post-industrial content. Abound LEEDing the way. This certification ensures conformance with LEED-CI criteria for EQ4.5, as well as BIFMA X7.1 Low-Emitting Furniture and Seating. Credit 6.1 Provide lighting controls for at least 90% of occupants, enabling adjustments to suit individual task needs and preferences. The strength and durability of Abound's welded steel frame ensures that even when fully loaded with worksurfaces, overheads, and equipment, Abound will feel robust, perform as expected, and look great. Tackability Tackablility test requires that a panel can support a one pound weight hanging from a tack pin for sixty seconds. Exceeds the industry requirement. Abound tiles have superior tackability to securely hold posted materials. Fire Rating Sound Transmission Class (STC) Class A fire rating requires a Flame Spread Index of 25 or less and a Smoke Index of 450 or less. BIFMA recommends an STC of 15 for acoustic panels.
