Support to achieve the objectives of the National Strategy of Biodiversity Management and Biodiversity Action Plan of Indonesia. Strengthen the capability of the Ministry of Forestry(MoF) at central level to deal quickly with forest fires and also to improve prevention and initial suppression at the local level. Carry out forest Fire Prevention and Initial Suppression Activities (Which are sustainable, feasible and replicable with Indonesian resources) to protect national parks. The forest fire prevention activities are implemented by the contribution of local people who live surrounding of target conservation forest. Capacity development of the Forest Tree Improvement Research and Institute (FTIRDI) in technologies and mechanism for efficient production and distribution of the improved seeds for industrial forest plantation. Strengthen the function of the FTIRDI in terms of providing seed sources, their information and technology of tree improvement to the industrial plantation. Strengthen the information management system of the fast-growing tree established in phase I and II, and the FTIRDI function on prevailing the technology. Offer basic technology of the forest tree breeding for reforestation to South-east Asia researchers and involved parties. Demonstration study on carbon fixing forest management ~ Mangrove Information Center ~ Sub Sectional Program on Mangrove ~ Private -Sector Investment Finance Promote and enhance the establishment on new techniques and methodologies to Carbon Fixing Forest Management. The Mangrove Information Center is institutionally strengthened in terms of ability to conduct activities which would contribute to the promotion of sustainable mangrove forest ecosystem management. The Supporting process for on-site mangrove management is established in Mangrove management center (MMC). Timor-Leste Gunung Halimun Salak National Park Management Improvement of Collection Management and Biodiversity Research Capacity of the Research Center for Biology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences Wild Fire and Carbon Management in Peat-forest in Indonesia Community-based integrated watershed management in Laclo and Comoro river basins ~ ~ Science and Technology Useful lessons and experiences on national park management obtained through Indonesian biodiversity conservation plan (BCP) and this project are shared with park managers, staff members of other national parks and officials of the Ministry of Forestry. Management capacity of the biodiversity research and collection is improved through its own effort, network with other institutes and contribute to the biological studies in Indonesia and other countries. Conservation, rehabilitation, and sustainable utilization of forest and land resources within CBFM areas are done by the capacitated POs on their own initiatives with support from the capacitated DENR, LGUs and other relevant Institutions. Formulate a master plan for forest management plan, including Forest protection to conserve watershed and bio-diversity and sustainable forest production in both natural and artificial forests. Feasibility of above. Improvement of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and agroforestry activities in model villages. Collect useful data for establishing a multi-storied forest management system in the trial plantation of the multi-storied forest reserves, promoting the reforestation/ afforestation by the private sector. Comprehensive and sustainable approach for conservation is established in Sabah. A system for biodiversity and ecosystems conservation in Sabah is strengthened and Sabah state becomes a centre for extension of knowledge and information to other areas of Malaysia and foreign countries. The communities and the mangrove forests co-exist in a sustainable manner in the selected areas where project activities were implemented within the Ayeyawade Delta. Prepare a concrete action plan for the forest conservation and Afforestation which will be implemented by the local people and the local governments at model villages. Reduce the trend of forest degradation through administrative guidance of local governments, such as those in province and districts, and through the voluntary participation of local people. Activities leading to sustainable land and forest use begin to expand in the project site and its surrounding areas, initiated by villagers. in research and development of appropriate technologies for the disease and pest control in Sanbei Protection Forest in Ningxia Hui. in research and development of appropriate technologies for the disease and pest control in Sanbei Protection Forest in Ningxia Hui. The Brazilian Amazon Forest Research Ⅱ The Aftercare Program of The Forest and Environment Conservation Research project in the State of Sao Paulo in the Federative Republic of Brazil The Cerrado Ecological Corridor Conservation ~ ~ ~ Biological and ecological knowledge is increased and technologies are improved for forest conservation and rehabilitation of degraded areas in the Amazon. Capacity of the Sao Paulo forest institute in preventing soil erosion and research techniques of reforestation. Integrated ecosystem management for Paran / Pirineus Ecological Corridor Area is improved through the activities for the Pilot Areas. The project for Forest Conservation and Environmental Education in the Eastern Amazon Activities of forest and natural environmental conservation are promoted in Para State. Sustainable Use of Estuary Tidal Floodplains in Amapa The way of utilizing forest resources for improving the livelihood of river dwellers will be improved in the target area on the estuary tidal floodplains. Africa Ethiopia Ghana Kenya Participatory Forest Management in Belete-Gera Participatory Forest Management in Belete-Gera Ⅱ The Participatory Forest Resource Management in the Transitional Zone Social Forestry Extension Model for Semi-arid Area ~ ~ ~ ~ Participatory forest management is sustainably put in place in target villages (Ganda) in Belete-Gera Regional Forest Priority Area (RFPA). WaBuB(local peoples' forest management associations) Participatory Forest Management (WaBuB PFM) is developed in selected areas in the Belete-Gera RFPA. Participatory approaches for sustainable management of the forest reserves in the transitional zone are improved through pilot activities.
