9 28 delegates made commitments to take further action as a result of attending our Energy Management Seminar on 25 July. Below are some examples of these commitments. Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council will plan a Blackout in the town centre after hearing about Sheffield University s blackout during a workshop. Aneurin Bevan Health Board is also going to look into a blackout programme. Delegate from WLGA will be speaking to senior officers to highlight benefits of better energy management. South Wales Police will disseminate information from the Seminar to colleagues. They will also develop an energy league table and targets for reporting purposes. Pembrokeshire County Council will review their automatic monitoring and targeting systems. They will also review how this is reported to senior management. South Wales Fire and Rescue Services will formulate an energy management policy. Cardiff Metropolitan University will look at rationalising the buildings across its estate to reduce energy consumption. Vale of Glamorgan Council will start an energy league table and provide more feedback to each building manager. HM Courts and Tribunal Service will use links and resources provided on our website. 4 delegates will contact Dŵr Cymru / Welsh Water to arrange site surveys and/or receive further information. A Welsh Government delegate will follow up the discussion they started with other delegates during a workshop. NHS Shared Services Partnership will share the information they picked up during the Seminar with NHS colleagues. 3 delegates will find out further information about the Good Practice Exchange.
